Quorthon and Cliff Burton were nobodies compared to this man. Let's hope he's feeling comfortably numb up there.

May he rest in peace. Wright was always the most underrated of the big three Floyders, but he was just as important as Gilmour and Waters and definitely a much better musician than Waters. His synths and keyboards were a huge part of the Floyd sound, and I'm sorry for the way he was treated in the late years.

I love the mystery of the internet because I can tell a real life tale here...

I actually, single-handedly prevented this dude from entering the Uk a couple of years ago because of 'discrepencies' in his application! I was a customs officer at the time and it wa the right thing to do.

The guy wrote Instellar Overdrive and Saucer Full of Secrets, among others. He also worked on Syd's legendary Madcap Laughs and Barret records. Sublime songs and records, so don't you dare write him off as a second-tier Floyd member.

While he never wrote as much as Gilmour or Roger Waters or Barrett early on, he did contribute to the songwriting and penned some damn good songs. More importantly, his keyboard sound was pretty fundamental to the band, and he played some amazing stuff.

Hey, I'll give the guy his due. He did write Us & Them & The Great Gig In The Sky for example which are both great and he did do more vocals than people realize. A lot of stuff is he and Gilmore in harmony.

Good for him, but he's to Floyd what Harrison was to the Beatles. Talented, but mostly irrelevant. The reigns were being held by the other guys.

Sorry, I choose not to exaggerate peoples importance just because they've carked it.
