This band is absolutely amazing. It's a shame that modern melodic metal bands don't have half the talent or song writing ability that this band had. 4 straight albums genius heavy metal. Its a shame what the genre has descended into.

Nosferatu is awesome. It's the only album I've heard of theirs though.

I need to listen to their older albums more carrefully, but they have a new one out, King Of Hell, and it's an excellent piece of metalic work.

I don't see what's so good with Helstar... They have a few good songs on each of their album but it's still a second (if not third) rate band that was forgotten because it deserves it.

I love Helstar. Nosferatu is obviously a classic, but so is the underrated A Distant Thunder- Tyrannicide and Winds of War and The King is Dead are such great songs. Overall, though, all their albums are quite good.

And OldSchool, thanks for telling me about their new album! I had no idea they were back from the dead.

You're welcome. If you start digging for US power, also check out Order Of Nine - A Means To Know End, that Marty reviewed here. I'm pretty impressed with that one. Imagika has a new album out too, Feast For the Hated, it's pretty good.
