I doubt many care here, but I'm a huge Duskfall fan and I have been ever since I had the pleasure of hearing Source when it was first released thanks to a review on another site.

I know everyone probably thinks they're just another At The Gates ripoff, but for a melodeth fan like me they were one of the few truly carrying the original aspects of the genre and making fucking amazing music. RIP one of the greatest melodeath acts in metal. You will not be forgotten, and your music will live on.

Hope some other projects come up. Thankfully Kai is singing in Deathbound.

Hi folks... Some news on whats going on. Mike has decided to leave the duskfall on personal reasons and since he is the founding member and main songwriter, the band has decided to quit. Below you can read a statement from Mike.

"The time has come for me to leave The Duskfall after 9 years. This has been a decision I have breathed, slept and thought over for a long time. I have gone through alot of good and fun times with the rest of the guys but keeping this band alive has taken a toll on me in my personal life. I feel that we have managed to write and record 4 great albums together, but now It´s time for me to move on. I want to thank everyone that has been involved in this journey and especially all the fans that has supported us all these years! You guys are great!!! I feel like there is alot of creativity waiting around the next corner and I have already plans on what to do next so be patient and stay on your toes for my next adventure. Love // Mike"

Well, their last album was complete garbage. There was only one song worth listening (Bring Us Your Infected). Even Lifetime Supply of Guilt had more redeeming qualities than this. But I agree that Source is excellent.

Btw, is Kayla still a reviewer? She was a big fan of the early works of The Duskfall and seeing how the last album still isn't reviewed I'm curious how she will score it.

The Source was one of the best melodeath albums I've heard, I'm quite sad to see them go.

She's been quite ill recently, poor gel.

Not heard much (any?) Duskfall. Alas?

WILL MOVE ON, THX.

Zad, it's only alas if you like melodeath... Frailty and Source are a good place to start if you care to listen.
