It's :dio:

New Jarboe soon! Features everyone from Sunn O))) to Phil Anselmo.

Ah, it's being released as a Jarboe album? Heard she might do as a separate project.

Anybody heard the new Ross The Boss album?
I heard it was a return to Manowar style...

I want the new Evergrey album so bad. After seeing them live a couple years ago I've been a bigger fan than I ever was.

I personally liked Monday Morning Apocalypse, so hearing that the new one is even better is awesome news. Great band.

I did. A pretty good heavy metal album, there's definitely a Manowar vibe to certain songs, although the band is not a Manowar copycat. The only thing I didn't particularly like were the vocals, pretty average imo. A better vocalist would elevate the band a lot.

Yes, exactly my thoughts!
Listening to it I thought this would have been a great album with Eric Adams voice when it's just a good one...

One of the best releases of this year that i've heard so far is the new Dark Quarterer album Symbols, epic prog metal at its best here, you can hear two tracks on their myspace: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=153595096

Now playing: 01---Titan Force - Chase Your Dreams

4. Dream Theater - Chaos In Motion 2007/2008 DVD (Roadrunner)

6. In This Moment - The Dream (Century Media)
7. Suspyre - When Time Fades (Sensory)
8. Cradle Of Filth - Godspeed On The Devil's Thunder (Roadrunner)

.....but I don't illegally download. Even if it's just to hear it before I buy it. I wait until it is legally available to either listen to (sample) or buy.

Well, after one listen I can confirm that the new Enslaved is awesome. Think Ruun gone even more spacey and Prog, lots of clean vocals and clean guitars, but still enough snarls to keep it Metal. It's one of those that you love from the first listen but discover something new each time after.

Seriously, what a fucking amazing band. Each of their albums is better than the last, and you're never sure how they're going to top the last masterpiece but they always do... Give Grutle and co a high-five from me, Thom, and let them know I'll be buying the Special Edition with bonus DVD if they make one available.

I didn't hear Ruun, but I thought Isa was a step down from Monumension and the other new era albums.

Yeah, me too, and Ruun had about 3 unbelievable songs amidst some very forgettable ones. I enjoyed Vertebrae a lot on the first listen and I expect to like it more and more. Definitely the best thing they did since Monumension.

I'm actually excited about the new Trivium the two songs they have on their Myspace profile, "Into The Mouth of Hell" and "Kirisute Gomen", are pretty damn good: http://www.myspace.com/trivium

New songs sound really good. Harsh vocals are a bit weak but are used sparingly. I'm excited.

I thought they actually did Harsh vocals better than they ever did before.

That may be true. Haven't listened to them in a while, but in comparison to other bands they're not great. Not intolerable by any means, but not good.

Also, listening to Kirisute Gomen and it reminds me of The Black Dahlia Murder in places. Interesante
