Oh damn that's a tough question. Altars of Madness is the only doubtless answer I've got. It' so perfect, it defines death metal basically.

Ok..I've rethought my previous nomination of Iron Maiden's Dance of Death as my all-time favorite CD. It's still ranks up there in my top 10 but I know I listen to (and enjoy) Dream Theater's Images & Words and Falling Into Infinity immensely more.

I know I caused a little head scratching with the Dance of Death choice. What can I say?

Aside from Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run, the album I've enjoyed the most over the years is probably Imaginations From the Other Side by Blind Guardian, I haven't really listened to it a lot these days though, but I love it.

I agree. Different favourites for different moods... For me it would most likely be something from Iron Maiden, Dio or Kiss. Could also be something newer. Edguy - "Hellfire Club" for instance... just too hard to choose.
