The Marriage Of Heaven And Hell 1 & 2 I would get these before any other albums just to get used to their style to see if you like them.

I've heard that they're pretty hard to get into? But when you first get into them they're pretty much awesome.

Not really, they kick ass from the first listen, you cant really go wrong with the marriage, House or Invictus albums, after that get Age Of Consent, Noble Savage or Visions Of Eden.

I just kind of "discovered" them myself, not long ago, with some helpful reco's from some dudes here. I had no trouble getting into them at all (of course, the first song I heard was The Burning of Rome. You have no pulse if you're a metal fan and you don't find that immediately kick ass.)

What a find this band has been. I've been listening to them nonstop for several months now. Huge body of killer work. Killer voice on that guy too.

Personally, I'm especially loving the Heaven and Hell Albums, the House of Atreus albums, and Age of Consent.

There was a thread on here not to long ago with lengthy recommendations, but I can't find it.... so go ahead and take every body's advice.

And no, you'll be hooked after one listen. One of the best bands on the planet.

I got some great recommendations from people here some time ago in a thread, though I *still* haven't gotten my hands on House of Atreus Part II. Invictus is a classic, and The Burning of Rome will haunt you once you've heard it. Truly an amazing band.

One of my favorite bands. Atreus 1&2 and Heaven & Hell 1&2 albums are masterpieces. Invictus is just a tiny notch lower IMO. Guardians of the Flame is classic too, but with a bit more of the 80's sound to it.

I don't know a whole lot about this band, but I do know that the song "The Burning of Rome" is an excellent heavy metal song.
