Revolution Renaissance - Glorious And Divine

You should really give this one a chance. Great album! :dio:

Rock-solid heavy/power metal :dio:

Great album; the first 4 songs are top notch, and the rest is not bad.

Savatage - Streets

I don't really understand all the praise for this album. Sure, it's not bad, put it's very difficult to follow the story and at times it's just too damn slow. Having said that, "Sammy and Tex" rocks like hell, "If I Go Away" and "Believe" are fantastic ballads, and "Heal My Soul" is one of the most heartfelt songs I've ever heard by a metal band, despite the rather cheesy lyrics.

Megadeth - Countdown To Extinction (yes, I'm deliberately putting this in the Heavy/Prog/Power Metal forum). One of the few metal albums my mom actually likes. :)

We actually have some Nile in the family car. :dio:

Right now listening to Stratovarius - Infinite. It isn't touching Visions so far.

Testament - The Ritual (once again: not a thrash album, doesn't belong in the Thrash/Death/Black forum). I've got to make a confession: This is probably my favorite Testament album after The Gathering. The songs are just so damn catchy and cool. Electric Crown (one of my favorite Testament songs), Let Go Of My World, the title track, As The Seasons Gray, Agony, Return To Serenity. Awww, hell. Every song on this album rocks.

'The ritual' is my favorite Testament CD! :dio:

... I gave it a 5/5 on MCDR, and there's also a short blurb about it in my 'Profile', here:

I agree that the beginning of the gig is pretty bad but it gets much much better after that.

So it's worth checking out their older albums?

Xystus - Equilibrio

This album just blew me away! Avantasia should have sounded like this, as this is what a "metal opera" should sound like. Fantastic!!!!!

Rhapsody of Fire - SOELIITDS

I don't know why people dislike this album so much, it's fucking epic, the songs are awesome, and the fact that it's so cheesy makes it more entertaining. Christopher Lee owns. :dio:
