she likes Meshuggah so i think she's saying that the other bands are all popular and/or not far removed from hard rock. imo he just threw them on so it looks like he knows stuff about modern/underground shiz

In terms of a mainstream look at Metal, it's not that bad. I'd say that Hendrix, Trower and Rush don't belong there in Metal terms, and fuck Guns N'Roses, Kiss and Aerosmith, but otherwise it's not so bad. There's no faulting most of the choices, except in ranking terms.

Still, fuck the guy for putting Spinal Tap on. At least take it seriously enough to not include fictional bands, duh.

No, in that I agree that they are shit bands. I still can't fucking believe that they made Guitar Hero Aerosmith ffs. THEY BEAT GENE SIMMONS TO IT

But you seriously can't think that Appetite for Destruction is a shit album. I mean, ok they dealt with a lot of the same shit that the other hair bands did, but Slash is a superior guitarist to any of the other bands, and Axl can fucking sing.
