I checked these guys out a while back and I was actually pleased with what I heard. I mean, it didn't knock me off my feet, but it was good. I am not really a fan of Black Sabbath, which is weird, b/c I do hear a lot of Sabbath in this as Ken said.

They are indeed very good. I was sent a CD of in-studio demos from the Ages Of Winter sessions and two unreleased tracks yesterday and they're killer! There's a lot more doom metal than I expected. The songs are definitely Sabbath meets Clutch like I said, but there's more to them than that.

I'm anticipating Ages Of Winter to be in my top 2006 lists.

I saw the video a few times, it was pretty meh. I guess I'm just sick of all these lame and unnecessary Sabbath offspring, but I find their music entirely dull and uninteresting.

Pretty decent Sab/Zep worship.

BTW, the sword did very good on the show. Much much better then Down. Anselmo was stoned out of his mind.

Well...more stoner-ish than doom-ish, but its in the same ballpark.

Priestess are much more of a rock band than doom or heavy metal. A great band, but not what you're looking for, I don't think. Try this:

http://www.myspace.com/heathendom

Not sure what you consider to be "gay vocals," though. Heathendom are fucking awesome!
