Heh, my nose is smaller than that in real life. There's a (poorly-lit)pic in my Reviewer profile...

 For now I heard Aphrodisio and Anal Terror, have to get an album. The vocals sound like boiling water.

Anyone that thinks that Arise is fast needs to be strapped to a chair and have Napalm Death - Scum played to him for twenty four hours straight. Sepultura can be speedy, then again, so can fucking Static-X.

Yeah, but Scum is shit, and isn't actually fast-it just has blastbeats. Arise had all the instruments at speed.

That's the point.

If the blastbeats goes:

dadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadada

but the actual beat goes (vocals, guitars)

tick.........tack.........tick.........tack.........tick

it ain't so fast. Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezxwCiO7bHg

but if the drums goes like this

da...da...da...da...da...da...da...da...da...da

and the real beat goes also

tick..tack..tick..tack..tick..tack..tick..tack..

then it's really fast.

Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBJbsbK4ijw

A Song is only fast, if every member of the band plays or sings fast. If someone makes a slower tempo - it's not fast any more.

Devourments Molesting the Decapitated is really fast. It's got a few blast parts that sounds inhuman.

Also technogrind-weirdoes Berzerker plays at bat shit crazy speed.

Well Dago has got the right idea... Early Sadus is straight up speed. As well as...

Dark Angel - Darkness Decends / Terror 2000 - Faster Disaster & Slaughterhouse Supremecy

Severe Torture anyone?? Those dudes are some of the first ones to make shit hyperspeed!!

Those are some of the ones that stand out to me at least... Yea alot of the grind bands of course make fast shit but when I hear "fast" I don't think of stuff like that... As far as the death/thrash genre goes, those are a few of my picks.

Dark Angel - Darkness Descends is what comes to my mind when I think fast. As far as fast drumming can go I've never heard anything more fast than Flo Mounier live.

A friend of mine who's into grindcore made me listen to some stuff, and it's normally really fast, but I'd like to know how people can differ between different grindcore songs/bands cause to me they sound the same except for the vocals sometimes.

Listen to recent Napalm Death, Nasum, and Cephalic Carnage, and then tell me you can't hear the difference.

OK, sorry, my bad, I love Napalm Death but I was talking about the porn-grind kind of stuff.

Thrasher by Evile? This is my attempt to answer your question. I don't listen to much thrash, but regardless, this song is really fucking fast, and in a coherent type of way, ya know? Drums, guitar, bass, vocals... all brutally fast.

No offense to you but reading that makes me feel like you need to delve a lot more into classic thrash like Dark Angel. Thrasher is a great song though.
