New Slipknot song... Not bad! They even got a solo, and fast drumming...

Not bad indeed. Looking forward to hearing more from the album.

Univers Zero-Heresie

Massively fucked up 70s avant-garde with growling vocals.

Oh, that album is so cool. My Unsaid Everything near tore my face off when I first heard it. I love how unhinged that album is and how creative they get with it. :dio:

The Mars Volta -- Asilos Magdalena

I really like what I'm listening to.

By a eerie coincidence, I'm listening to the exact same song. Amputechture was my favorite Volta album for a while, but the order changes weekly.

A majority of people seem to not like this record at all. I don't know why. I'm loving it on first listen, but I definately know I have to listen to it a lot more.

It helps that Viscera Eyes and Day Of The Baphomets are in my top 5 Volta songs.

Speaking of Viscera Eyes, that fucking bass riff is the coolest thing I've ever heard.

Cedric's insanely high scream at the end makes it for me, hahah.

Amputechture is fucking great but it doesn't have as many skin tingly moments as their other albums.

POACHErS IN YOUR HOME!!

Amputechture seems a lot more laid-back and jammy than the other albums I've heard from them.

Madvillain-Madvillainy

A hip-hop album I like, but I accept that's because I'm a middle-class suburban whiteboy for whom real hip-hop is a bit much.

Yakuza-Transmutations

Some good stuff. Imagine a doomier, more progressive Mastodon.

Melvins album streaming in its entirety on myspace.

http://www.myspace.com/themelvins

Pretty cool. Don't have anything by the Melvins but I might have to get something.

On a side note, I've been downloading 70's prog rock just to check it out but I don't really like it very much so far :(
