I don't get why every time someone trashes a bad band he gets immediately called an "elitist". No one in this board is an elitist at all, maybe some black metal wizards but many don't post anymore except for Astaroth...

I wasn't referring to anybody here in particular, nor was I referring to trashing a band itself (everybody has a right to his/her opinions). I was referring to trashing somebody for liking a band that you don't like.

Disturbed isn't nu-metal anymore. I consider them to be modern rock or modern metal. Examples.. System of a Down, Godsmack, the last two Black Label Society albums, Serj Tankian ECT...
I wouldn't consider bands like three doors down or daughtry as modern but as post grunge cause they use the same blueprint and sounds as foo fighters and creed. Korn and Sklipknot are still nu-metal and wouldn't be included either.

Disturbed's new album, Indestructible rocks. Its a slight progression from the last one. Every song but four songs has a guitar solo. These guitar solos actually have some bite to them. The volcals are an improvement. Barely any monkey sounds.
The only problem is that the album is too long.

Man I saw the last three songs of Disturbed's set at Sweden Rock. Funny stuff. That spoken bit in the middle of The Sickness is even funnier live.

"Naw maw! Don't hit's, ya mad hoor!" Yeah it'd be even better if Mad Davey was from Glasgow.
