I just did last weekend. Utterly boring band on stage. Horrible. And to bore me further, their newer stuff just shot me in the head. First gig I've been to where I just stood stoned as the headlining band played.

But I enjoyed 3 out of the 6 local opening bands that played. 55 bucks gone down the drain, but it's OK since I got to see Sil Khannaz live once more! They're Malaysia's Iron Maiden.

Yeah I've seen them in 2006 on their Stabbing the Drama Tour. They where the headline and bands playing before them where Dark Tranquillity, Hypocrisy and Mnemic.

Hypocrisy was awesome, DT blew the roof off and then when Soilwork went on stage as the headline half of the venue was empty. I stayed for 40 minutes and it was utterly boring. So I totally agree with you on Soilwork, but to be fair I never heard much of their material before that. On another note, Hypocrisy's performance(I had never heard of them before that show) made a fan out of me

Well I guess it's a proven fact then.

At the moment we're waiting for Dismember, Cannibal Corpse and Carcass to confirm their dates, but I'm being a real pain in the ass for the organisers cos I keep begging for Dark Tranquility.

Saw DT twice as openers the first was for Soilwork and second was recently for Arch Enemy. They are great performers and by the end of their set I always want more. Next time they better headline, in my mind they are better than arch enemy and a million times better than Soilwork.

You think? I think it's a fact, man. I've watched their live DVD and it made me itch even more just to see them. They're one of the bands on my to-see-live-before-I-die list. And now you've pissed me off by saying you've seen them, TWICE!! Lucky bastard :P

Yeah I'm lucky! They even played my favorite song off fiction: "Misery's Crown"
and Stane's clean vocals where incredible even live!

One time a venue near me said they were playing, but it was way too small for them to be there. So on the day I rang them up and said "are Soilwork playing tonight?" He said "yes", I said "really?" he said "yes".

So I went and they weren't at all, it was some student rock band.

So in other words I was IRL trolled by Soilwork.

I saw them when they were supporting Children of Bodom, along with Shadows Fall. They were pretty shitty, although I may be biased because I hate them. Oh and most of the people there seemed to be angry with them. "POSERS!!"

That happened to me with Falconer

I saw a flier saying "yo bitch Falconer are playing here!"
and I was like wat
So I phoned the venue the next day and said "yo sup Falconer playing?"
and they're all like "sure are bro!"
So I went to a ticket outlike and I was like "Falconer me"
and she was like "hmm?"
So I'm like "Falconer bitch!"
and she's all "nuh-uh"
So I call the venue back like "Falconer, what?"
and this time they're like "no way dude."

Cunts.

I saw Soilwork a few years ago at the New England Metal Fest. This was the second show I'd ever been to and the first festival, so by the time Soilwork came on (late on the third day) I had already been reduced to a drooling pile of wonderment. I was still underwhelmed, especially as they played right after Dark Tranquillity and Hypocrisy. I was annoyed by their silly lightshow, too.
