Here in Britain we had a terrible boy band called 5ive. Which makes me a bit wary of the other 5ive, for no real reason.

I keep meaning to review The Sword's latest, but every time I try it ends up sounding like something from Global Domination.

Pity the new Ufomammut is a :( not heard it yet.

5ive are one of those instrumental Sludge bands, Mint. Not bad, nothing amazing. I think the boy-band 5ive have split up now, anyways. Yes, Zad would know that etc.

The post could've been more useful, yes -- that is, if there was something else to say about this terrible, terrible band.

if you like their earlier stuff you might like it, their general sound just isn't my thing.

What's so bad about The Sword? ;_;

What's so good about them? Their riffs are so unoriginal, and their vocalist sounds like a pile of horse shit that started singing.

A few songs on their debut are good, but this new one just feels really bland and unoriginal. Plus, dreadful vocalists might have been ok back in the 70's, but they're not now.

I like the new Mourning Beloveth a lot. New Virgin Black is decent. Was disapointed by latest Mar De Grises. That's everything doom related I heard so far, if we're not counting Voyager heh.

Really? I love that album, though it is indeed somewhat inferior to their debut. The first track is amazing, though.

It's been a disappointing year so far, especially after how amazing last year's releases were. The new Isole is good, agreed there. The Sword still suck, I just don't get why they are lauded for being the 548th band to play that style, shittily no less. I didn't think any album could bore me more than Age of Winters, but they succeeded in that respect.

I'm looking forward to hearing the new Aarni, and I've heard whispers of new albums by Umbra Nihil, Pagan Altar, and Witchfinder General, so this could still turn out to be a very good year.

The Sword is excellent. Oh, but their albums can be found at Hot Topic. So yeah, ew.

:rolleyes:

I wasn't too impressed with the new Witch album. The debut is better. This album is missing that slow, eery sound of the debut.

Way to twist things, asshole. I don't care if a band can be found at Hot Topic, or not. It's just that they suck.

Anyway, I'm not too surprised you came in here defending a sucky band, seeing as you do it constantly.
