I will probably eventually buy the new Testament album, but Testament has always been a second rate thrash band to these ears.

And yes I have heard of Municipal Waste, I own both of their albums. They are quite good.

They have three albums, all of which are class.

I'm guessing you're missing Waste 'em All and I'd say you should get it, even more punky than the most recent two and the songs overall aren't as catchy, but awesome none the less.

I want Amok to start sounding Scottish, that would be fucking awesome. Although Kill The Gestapo is great. Headless Cross are shit imo.

I'll buy the new Testament either this month or next month. I know that, this afternoon, I plan on picking up Pearl Jam's self-titled album.

And I think I'll shut up right now before this thread veers too much off topic.

Haha. It's a great album, just FYI. If ever we start doing Grunge and the like here at MR I'm so reviewing Pearl Jam's entire back catalogue and giving most of them classics...

What the hell? I don't care if you review stuff closely related to metal which isn't actually metal but reviewing grunge isn't right on this site.

So, Muse, The Who and Bon Jovi are all fine, but no to Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters? YES THAT MAKES SENSE.

I just posted this in another thread, so I hope you guys don't think I'm too annoying with this, but when it comes to modern thrash, you guys should check out Mortal Sin.

They made a name for themselves in the 80's with their albums Mayhemic Destruction and Face of Despair. Kerrang! talked them up quite a bit. Anyway, they faced a bunch of line-up changes and basically broke up for like 15 years.

Last year they released their reunion album An Absence of Faith, and I think it's really worth checking out. Not too many metal bands coming out of Australia, let alone thrash bands, so you can understand my enthusiasm.

This new album is just a little bit slower and groovier, but there are still a couple of out-and-out thrashers on there.

Oh, and also The Haunted. I don't know if they qualify as "new", their first album came out in 1999. That one which i think is self titled, and the second one called "the haunted made me do it" are both thrashy good times.

You forgot Flogging Molly for absurd review choices. You might as well review the new Nick Cave album. My opinion on it is that as long as metal fans can find some overlap and still enjoy the band being reviewed then review it.
