I made that analogy after listening to the song in the first post of the thread. The "Worship Your Demons" song sounds like stright-up shitty hardcore.

Someone linked me this new Cryptopsy stuff a while ago. I've never been a huge fan of the band (though I did like their work in "None So Vile"), but this stuff is just wrong. There's nothing left of Cryptopsy here except, maybe, the drumming later. The growling is ridiculous, almost embarassing.

I also thought of "St. Anger" when I listened to it.

God people exaggerate as usual. I am listening to the 4th song now (the reall bad one that was posted) but the first 3 songs were cool, i mean not fucking mindblowing like the first three on Once was Not but still.
The way i see it, don't listen to this album trying to expect a classic Cryptopsy, or youll see fail everywhere.

So, I've listened twice, and it really isn't that bad. A small change in direction, meh, it's Whisper Supremacy after None So Vile all over again. Even the clean vox sort of work in context. Congrats, Flo, you've won me over.

Wrote a short review for MA to counteract all the hyper-emo crap being written there atm, should be up soonish.
