Really bad grind of any sorts... Nu metal... Black metal that sounds like it was cut in a storage shed... Hair metal.

Guess it's kinda hard to nail down anything else really but I'm sure I'm missing a few things.

I think I listen to most types of metal. There are awful bands in every genre ever, so I try not to listen to them, but at the same time I try not to to condemn a whole genre of music just because the one or two bands I've heard from it happen to be horrible.

Don't listen to:

-Grindcore
-Dark Metal
-Doom Metal
-Nu Metal
-Hair Metal
-99% of black
-95% of thrash
-Folk metal

I don't dislike dark, doom, black, or folk though...just haven't really gotten into those genres yet. It's astonishing how much music there is within metal alone that I still haven't been exposed to.

Grindcore is a genre that doesn't appeal to me at all. I wouldn't say I hate it, I am just indifferent to it. I don't listen to most nu-metal although I do find a few songs appealing here and there. More than the music, it's the vocals of bands like Shadows Fall and Blind Guardian that I don't like. Rap metal is the stuff I hate with a passion. I can't stand it.

Same for me, although I like folk. I just never tried getting into any of those genres.

I listen to nearly everything except generic hard/metalcore and most hair metal. Never seen the trouble with female vocalists, perhaps that's due to my love of female singers outside of metal...

Hair metal!, how the fuck I forgot it! I don't listen to hair metal! I think it's not a metal subgenere. That cock rock and hair metal and all those similar stuff should be genre for itself and called GLAM! (and not as a subgenre of metal, rock or whatever).

Actually, real glam rock, from the Slade/T Rex/early Bowie/Sweet was much more interesting musically and way less "fruity"...

Still, I lived in the time when Big-Haircuted "gentlemen" played their soft un-provocative rock and I still do enjoy some of it now...

Gary Glitter's music has always been crap... There are crap bands in every scene I don't see why glam rock would be an exception...

I know, I asked on purpose because I wanted to see your reaction to that. Btw. one guy from my class listens nothing but those bands you mentioned earlier.

Heard Twisted Sister's actual glam stuff (with Jay Jay French on vocals)?

Thank God they hired Dee.

They're good bands actually... You should give it a try...

T rex is good.

Oh and how could someone not like Whitesnake or Skid Row (two of the elite few good hair/sleaze metal bands)?

I don't listen to Doom, Nu-Metal and not much of a Grindcore fan. And um, don't really like Industrial as well.

I don't listen much to stoner, folk and industrial, though I don't dislike them. I dislike metalcore. And I definitely can't get into that drone stuff.
