You're right that something needs to be done. The NS-ers have a good point here: worst case scenario, Europe turns into part of the third world due to resources used by an ageing natural population and unskilled migrants. That's not to say that immigration should stop completely, of course - migrant workers are a vital part of the Western economy, but they need to be integrated properly and not just in a PC way. Make them feel good about themselves, none of this negative right-wing bollocks...

The answer is, of course, to burn churches.

Hysterical bollocks. Would have expected this from Frigid but not from you, Zad.

I did say Worst Case Scenario. I don't really believe that this will happen - soon, at any rate - but it is possible. Basically, I'm saying that immigration needs an overhaul, not necessarily to keep people out...

Speaking of tragedy...

Quote:
A gunman dressed in black and carrying handguns and a shotgun opened fire in a lecture hall at Northern Illinois University yesterday killing four students and injuring 14 others, some critically, before turning the weapon on himself.

...

The shooting is the fourth such incident on a campus over the past week.

That's shocking that it's the fourth this week, I had no idea...

While watching this news on TV they said that on Swiss media they released data that Croatian mafia is responsible for this theft. (Swiss media are giving croats a bad name)

Because no one knows the difference between Croatian people and Croatian mafia, right? Maybe it was the Croatian mafia.

and what's the difference between swiss people and swiss mafia?

There is no swiss mafia. But the difference between the croatian mafia and croatian people is that the mafia are criminals and the people aren't.

Are you fucking kidding me? Do you have any stats to back this ridiculous statment up?

Haha.

And rad, I was reading statistics taken from police records in the paper the other day. The left-wing paper, actually.

I'm an immigrant, and I've never committed a more serious crime than underage drinking, smoking pot and trespassing.

OH WAIT

Immigrants have to make a new start. A new start is hard. If a country is difficult to get into, then only dedicated people who can make a new start without breaking get in. If the doors are open, anyone with a dream of a better life can pour in. Sometimes immigrants are people who are looking for opportunities to use their potential. Sometimes they are failures who are looking for a clean slate.

The government is largely responsible for the people it lets in. There are selection processes. Sometimes a government has to be completely un-PC to let only the right people in. The problem is, most governments are limpcock, so they dare not protect their citizens properly. Blaming races, blaming individuals is wrong. People adapt to their environment and do whatever is in their nature. The job of the government is to ensure that only people with the right nature get in, and/or the environment to express a bad facet of a person's nature is either small or non-existent.

Completely true. The reason that immigrants are more prone to crime here in Switzerland is because of the way they're treated here, by the government and the population.

Were those statistics adjusted for socioeconomic characteristics (e.g. parents level of education, household income etc.) known to be significantly correlated with crime rates? Many immigrants from less developed countries come from less resourceful families and would probably act no different given their situation if the were ethnically native.

Statistical 'analyses' in newspapers are rarely particularly competent and are usually interpreted in a sensationalist state of mind.
