Not $0.49, though, really. If you pay for the credits, they're $3.45 a piece. So that's $3.45 plus the $0.49 processing fee. So $3.94 per disc (i.e. cheap as fuck). And if you receive credits by mailing out CDs, I've noticed the average price to mail a disc is about $1.60 or less. So about $2 per disc that way. Again, cheap as fuck!

I'll keep you updated on some good CDs that roll through.

Except I didn't pay for any of the DVD's I mailed out b/c my work paid for the postage. Then I got two credits for each DVD.

Edit - Forgot to mention I got Edguy - Superheroes DVD single thing as well.

That surprises me... I thought you would be going nuts over his sale combined with the "Used/Clearance" sections.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Sentinel Steel. Den is usually very quick in turning my orders around - I usually have them within 3-4 days of payment. I wish I could say that for The End Records (www.theendrecords.com) which used to be that way (but has gotten much slower as of late). The End's new releases are more up to date than Sentienl Steel though, so it's a trade off...

The End is really bad these days. It's taking three or four weeks now! Pathetic. I actually made a post here like a year ago about how bad it was getting back then, and it's only gotten worse since then.

Here's my latest:

Alestorm - Captain Morgan's Revenge
Alice Cooper - The Last Temptation **
Beastie Boys - Cookie Puss (EP)
Beastie Boys - Triple Trouble (CD Single w/Non-LP Tracks) **
Blues Traveler - Hook (CD Single w/Live Tracks) **
Foo Fighters - Stacked Actors (CD Single w/Non-LP Tracks)
Forgotten Tales - The Promise
Pearl, Jizzy - Just A Boy (w/Bonus Tracks)
Static-X - Black And White (CD Single w/Non-LP Track)
Tantric - The End Begins ***
The Makers - Stripped **
The Smithereens - Especially For You **
Vayden - Children Of Our Mistakes ***
Warbringer - War Without End
W.A.S.P. - I Am One (CD Single w/Live Tracks)
White Trash - Si O Si, Que? **
Zombie, Rob - Past, Present & Future (CD/DVD) **

** Under $4 from SwapaCD.com.
*** Free for review.

And then...

Simple Plan - Simple Plan

Apparently lala is sending this turd out to a lot of people. It's already up for auction on eBay. Haha. Thanks, but...uh...no thanks, lala.

The End's issues stem from the processing and shipping agent they have chosen and particularly with the "Free Shipping" option. You order the product on Monday, and they prepare it at The End on Tues, but it sometimes doesn't get processed by the carrier for days after that. That is what is slowing down packages shipped under the free "Media Mail" option.

I have filed numerous complaints regarding slow orders (they are in Brooklyn, NY and I am in Central NY - should not take more than 5 days but it does). I have received responses describing the issues.

For single CD orders, they still go first class with free shipping so those arrive in a reasonable timeframe. Anything larger with free shipping may take 2-4 weeks (The End noted this in emails they sent when they changed mail carriers). I am finding that I will take the free shipping when I have a single CD, and the $4.00 priority shipping when I have more than that, so that they arrive in a reasonable time frame.
