Like Zad, Eternal Idol and Karmakosmanaut, I listened to this a bunch when I was a wee lad. I practically have it memorized, along with the two albums that followed it.

Personally I like the way Serj sings and I think he has a pretty good vocal range. I really dig SOAD and im glad they've taken a break for a while to boost their creativity (which has fallen in their last outing).

Eh, he sucks shit compared to most vocalists...

I'd have to disagree with you there, in my opinion he's an outstanding singer. That other "singer" should keep his mouth shut though, why have a guy sing who sounds like a cat in heat when you already have one of the best.

Probably to show us just how good he is?
IMO I think letting that other guy sing certain choruses does add some more random variety to their already insane hapzardness. But im totally against him singing a whole track. Was that on "Lonely Day" where he sings the whole track?

Yeah it's him on Lonely Day with Serj doing backup in the chorus. I would probably prefer having Serj sing more often but I don't have any problems with Daron.

Buy a new set of headphones, Ken, and read the lyrics. Oh, and stop shitting in my thread.

I've been listening to this band since 1996. I know the lyrics by heart, my friend. The song isn't even about religion. And there are no Eastern-sounding melodies in "Know." Did you mean another song?

And you shit in plenty of my threads back in the day. This is karma! :)

From memory:
I had an out of body experience, the other day and her name was Jesus, and for her, everyone cried, everyone cried, everyone cried. Try her philosophy, try her philosophy, try her philosophy, try. You'll die for her philosophy, die for her philosophy, die for her philosophy die.

Attributing the feminine to Jesus, and saying that people die for her philosophy isn't exactly pro-christian. It's PRACTICALLY anti-Christian! Whatever the song is ACTUALLY about - certainly seems to be about Christ, from all the 'the falling of Christ' stuff at the end. I'll have another listen to "Know", but they did sound eastern, hence 'eastern-sounding melodies'. My rear is covered.

And yes, hence ironic lulz due to my use of 'shit', 'in' and 'thread'.

The references to religion are purely metaphorical.

Then again, one could argue that religion itself is purely metaphorical.

Says you. Interpreted literally, they're not exactly pro-Christian, are they?

You're not right about nu-metal, Bubbles.

I have no opinion on nu-metal. I'm not an ignorant fool that makes blanket statements about entire genres.

A long-standing joke, fool. I own some black metal albums and quite like them.

Try again.

Is it really that necessary to quote the post right above yours?

I'd hate to feel obliged to lock one of my own review threads, so can you two infants kindly stick to the topic? There's the whole of Helheim if you want to mud-wrestle...

My post was quite relevant, Zad, for I was implying that Ken does not know what the hell he's talking about, most of the time. And his contributions to this thread provide concrete evidence.

But no matter. I'll leave this thread be.
