How fuckin awesome is that solo?

Bleh. Easily one of their weakest songs ever. It's a nice 7-minute ballad streched out to over double it's length.

True pirate metal... Me likes this a lot.

Great stuff - fast and catchy. Reminds me of Turisas debut with their over the top sound, but here at least the guitars doens't take a back seat. Vocals could have been better. Right now they remind me of Korpiklaani, something between clean and harsh. I've been waiting for this album since i've heard Terror On The High Seas ep. :dio:

This band is just so fresh and original, all my friends like it, even the non-metalhead ones.

It's a damn good album, the new songs that weren't featured on the EPs are good as well - especially the title track! shame the cover of Flower of Scotland is a bit pish though.

Yeah, Alestorm should have put that song as a bonus track because it sounds more like a national anthem. Flower of Scotland and Of Treasure are the only fillers though. Another song in their place would have been nice but with this minor flaw I agree with your score. If seems they rushed the album to get it out sooner. Alestorm is definitely my number one surprise of the year so far.

Uuuuh, it is  Mine. I just wish they'd done a bit more with it. Either faster and more metal or slower and more epic.

The entire middle section with the instrumental part before the solo is just absolutely jaw-dropping. I'm not a big X Japan fan but damn that just might be the best 2 minutes of music I've ever heard.

NP: Majesty - Reign in Glory

This is suffering from what I would like to call Manowar syndrome. Some of the more epic songs just fall flat on their faces.

Hmm, indeed. There's one song on there that is fantastic epic metal ruined by Aabout 3 minutes of keyboardy dragoncheese in the middle.

Thunder in the Silence is fucking brilliant though.

That song kicks ass. My fav on that album. Bruce barks out the tune marvelously angry -- and then unleashes a killer chorus.

Dream Theater-New Millenium just came out of my headphones at a dangerous volume. I almost soiled myself.

Wow, this is really good. Why did no-one recommend this to me before? Radagast? MetalNESS? Tut. Useless.

What? I'm actually enjoying this? And Hetfield's voice isn't pissing me off? What the fuck?
