I'm glad Ride The Lightning ranked higher than Master Of bloody Puppets. Actually, Ride The Lightning gradually seems to be usurping Master's status.
As it should be, RTL is just more aggressive and raw, ie: badass. Minus Fade to Black, it's blunt to the point thrash metal at its best.

The list is missing "Brain Damage" by Vendetta, "Heresy" by Paradox, "Terror and Submission" by Holy Terror, "Skeptics Apocalypse" by Agent Steel, and "Riders of Doom" by Death Row.

I don't think any of the Megadeth albums are thrash metal, they're speed metal in my opinion (which differs only slightly, but is noticeable), the only Testament album that belongs on the list is "The Legacy", there's too many Metallica albums on the list (Kill Em All is the only one that should be up there in my opinion), I don't think Atheist is thrash, likewise I believe that all of the Sepultura albums prior to Arise are death metal albums, I don't know if I saw "Breaking the Silence" by Heathen, that has to be up there.....

Those are my only critiques, other than that it looks good to me.

oh one more thing, the only Anthrax album that deserves to be on the list is "Fistful of Metal", everything else is crap, ha ha I know I'm going to get a shit slagging for saying that.

...if there are megadeth albums on the list, then "Reign of Fear" by Rage should be up there as well, that album thrashes like crazy.

"Reality Turns to Dust" by Drifter, and "Endless War" by ...I can't think of the band, but that album should be up there. "Think This" and "World Circus" by Toxik should replace some of the Anthrax albums up there as well.

Breaking the Silence is surely more speed metal-ish than any Megadeth album? Exlcuding the debut, possibly.

BTW for any of you cretins out there that don't have Heathen's two albums, you can get the mp3s here, all free and legal.

Well, I see Heathen as a more melodic Exodus, and Exodus is more thrash metal than Megadeth is. So that's my reasoning.

Oh, Radagast, well done on the Tredgar selections for your playlist. Russ North later went on to do vocals for Cloven Hoof on "A Sultan's Ransom"

Yeah I started a thread on the heavy/power metal forum about Tredegar that no one has responded to yet. Feel free to save it!

By the way, thanks for the arsey, self-important postings a few years ago about how Cloven Hoof and Satan were so awesome and modern power metal was gay and stuff. It pissed me off enough to make me download some Cloven Hoof. Dominator is my personal favourite. I'm hoping the forthcoming album with Russ North back on board will be better than the comeback album.

I hope so too. I think my favorite Cloven Hoof song with Russ North on vocals has to be Mistress of the Forest, the last song on "A Sultan's Ransom." That song was a blend of Somewhere in Time-era Iron Maiden and Night on Broken-era Fates Warning.

Mine is Reach For the Sky. I probably prefer the live version with Rob Kendrick but it's such an awesome song.

Reach For Tghe Sky is frikin awesome so is Mistress Of The Forest, but my personal favorite has to be Notre Dame from "A sultan's Ransom" i just fucking love that song.

Oh and about that speed or thrash discussion one could argue that agent steel (or Holy Terror for that matter) are also speed metal, Rust In Peace is Thrash in my book and someone mentioned that "dreamweaver" is inferior to "history of a time to come" well it isnt.

Did anyone else think he was singing "He's the Devil Eraser" instead of "He's the Death Valley Racer" in D.V.R.? Just me...?
