I won't buy that unless I find the version with all 8 tracks and no bleeped out swear words.

There's no bleeped out swear words. Every lyric Dave changed is bleeped out, because Lee Hazlewood is a massive douchbag and is quoted as saying Megadeth's version is disgusting. Nevermind the fact he let a mafia princess sing the song.

Anyways, actually finding that version of the album will be no easy task, as Combat had stopped printing it with These Boots back in the 80's.

Exactly, so I'm happy with the version I've got haxxored together from mp3s - the other 7 tracks from the remastered version, the original These Boots and the three demo tracks stuck on the end.

LOL Halford should be mentioned in the Heavy Metal forum seems out of place with the rest of your collection there :P

Hah. I would have traded you that as well! I should listen to it again, last time I thought there was too much dicking about with keyboards, but when it was good, it was very good.

I find that album to be one of their finest moments. They really nailed the transitions from keyboard wankery to outright aggression on that one. Certainly one of their most interesting efforts.

On a bit of a Cradle-bender at the moment...

Cradle Of Filth - Thornography
Cradle Of Filth - Bitter Suites To Succubi
Deicide - Scars Of The Crucifix
Dissection - The Somberlain
Nachtmystium - Demise
Windir - Soknardalr
Winds Of The Black Mountains - Sing Thou Unholy Servants

The WOTBM is interesting, and I'm listening to the Windir at the moment, good stuff. Not sure about that Nachtmystium, seems a bit straightforward...

Haven't listened to the 1349 in ages. I think I enjoyed Frost's drumming the most, and the awesome pictures in the booklet. But the title track is pretty lame. Did they really have to play the same riff over and over again, to make it last 13:49?

I actually think the title track is the best thing about the album and the drumming the worst. I mean sure its impressive as hell but its just too fucking loud.
