Also hoping Day Without Dawn will get their shit together and finally release a full-length...

oh hay:
Quote:
After the departure of guitarist/vocalist Jim Stang and the addition of new guitarist/vocalist Dan Brownridge, the members of New Jersey quartet Day Without Dawn (formerly called The Postman Syndrome when they were a five-piece) have once again renamed themselves, this time as Biclops.

Day Without Dawn's final album with Stang on vocals, Understanding Consequences, will be released this February by Forgotten Empire Records. The disc will be comprised of 8 songs and will feature guest performances by Larry Chiswick (All Parallels), Matt Lupo (The Postman Syndrome/East Of The Wall), Kevin Conway (East Of The Wall), Bruce Lamont (Yakuza), and Jared Duncan (Fake Gimms).

Meanwhile, Biclops have posted new music at www.Myspace.com/BiclopsIsABand, and are currently in the midst of booking a nationwide tour in March 2008, once again with tourmates All Parallels.

How about the new Theocracy? I had almost forgot about that, but I guess it should be coming out pretty soon.

I doubt a new Nevermore album will come out with Worrel Dane trying to finish his solo album. Throw that on to the list of new albums as well.

I don't know, solo albums rarely hold up bands albums, just look at Angra, Dream Theater, Victor et. al.

I don't know how much of Nevermore's music Warrell writes, but if it anything less than a little bit, the rest of the band can have the thing written so he can write the lyrics and sing on it.

I just don't know, but I'm having a hard time thinking of a band member's side projects holding things up for the regular band, hell, even Alexi Laiho wrote three sinergy albums in a few years while COB was putting out material. Tarot put out albums regularly despite Nightwish's existance.

Nevermore have been a little slow to release albums though.

I seriously doubt Slayer will have a new album out this year. Heck, I'd be surprised if they have a new album out by the end of the decade.
They're projecting to have it done by the end of the year and it supposedly the last one they're going to do.

Why would anyone believe that? History has taught us there's no such thing as a farewell. Every band that has had a "final" anything has wound up breaking thier promises.

That looks more like a basement door. But still, I'm sure it has more identity than cellar door does.

Agreed, but considering there is no mention of Meshuggah's website or myspace, and no mention of it on Nuclear Blast's website, I remain skeptical that this is the final cover.

I think it's supposed to be Maynard James Keenan. :\

In any case, it is a really goofy cover. I think a lot of CGI album art is goofy anyhow.

maynard's not been that thin in years. He's been tubby since the late 90's with a large tire around his waist. He's stick thin so the fat looks strange on him. It does look a bit like him, but I doubt it is.
