I registered just to post a reply to this! BEST. NEWS. EVER. This is the biggest wish that I've ever had in my entire life, but I NEVER expected it to happen, but now it has happened and I still can't believe it! I'm sure as hell not going to be able to sleep tonight now!!!!! No offense to Tim, but Matt is the greatest singer that has ever walked on this earth in my opinion. I think I need to go listen to all of the Barlow era Iced Earth albums now :dio:

I repeat my sentiments from the other thread. Namely... I feel bad for Ripper, he should have at least completed Part II for continuity and especially after the great job he's done for the band, and I'm really uncertain about this whole thing, which seems quite weird all around.

I agree with you, but I also wouldn't find it surprising that it was Tim that initiated this whole thing. Nor would it surprise me if Matt was only stepping in to do the upcoming album because Tim bailed.

Hmm... Its quite possible. Hopefully Tim will make a statement. Nevertheless, Barlow's return sounds like, from Jon's message, a long time in the making; whether this is because Ripper was planning to leave the band for a while, or because Schaeffer has been trying to get Barlow back for a while, will hopefully be seen.

Yeah it's been forever since I've posted. Lots of school stuff going on. Getting married in May. Just haven't had to time to post. I have been checking the site every once in a while. Maybe I'll start posting more again if I have time.

I liked Something Wicked 1, but I don't love it like I love everything with Barlow. Tim won me over, I used to Tim hate all ova the place but I really really prefer Barlow's voice. Awesome, awesome news.

And we get 2 barlowy albums now. :dio:

I like both their vocals and really like Rippers on their latest . I would have prefered his voice on the second album and I've got used to him being in Iced Earth. But there are two sides to everything so can't wait to see his comments.
Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen back in Helloween is what I've always wanted and after this anything can happen.
