Post subject: Fastest Metal Album Ever Made?
PostPosted: Mon Nov 05, 2007 4:00 pm
I know this may be too broad a question to ask, but what is the fastest metal album (of any genre) that you have ever heard?

This one competes. Origin can get really fast as well. All the nominees I can think of are death metal bands.

i admit, i haven't heard much with this band. I just know that one of the fastest drummer in the world (single stroke) plays in the band.
The first track is somewhat fast. Fast tempo throughout most of the track, with some short burst with even faster drummings.

but you can be fast in many ways, right? This is just a suggestion drum-wise. There's probably bands who have had extremely fast riffs.
And Darkthrone are very fast at recording their shit in the record studio - one take and they're out of there

The old Mayhem album, the one with Varg is pretty fast too if i remember correctly. Dark Funeral has been fast too at times.. but i really can't remember any longer.

It's odd: Death is considered a death metal band throughout their entire run, and yet their later albums are considerably slower and more melodic than even a lot of thrash metal albums.

No Comment - Downsided is definitely up there (not a metal album though). They thought they had enough material for a full length but then it only ended up being 12 minutes long so they had to release it as an EP.

Ne Obliviscaris's drummer also won the Australia section of the world's fastest drummer competition and it shows in his blast beats :P

Well most crossover is,although i do agree that the MW vocals are really fast but IMO Bill Crooks from Cryptic Slaughter was faster.

The Berzerker has some insanely fast shit, the drums don't come much faster than in their albums. :dio:

DRAGONFORCE!!

In all honesty Berzerker tends to just speed and pound itself into a blur of a song which makes me consider probably the fastest.

Meh. They practically invented the genre, so they can have the title.

Oh man. Who really cares?? The fastest playing I've ever seen live is either Morbid Angel, or a local Michigan legend, the band Summon.

Its funny how I first called the question out as being unimportant, and then proceeded to answer it. Any way, I still maintain that this question is totally unimportant, however, I stand by my answer, even though it doesnt pertain to recorded material.
