This is a great CD! Definitely better than Out Of The Dark, but that one is quite good as well.

I was quite surprised that these two albums have been pretty under-the-radar. Couldn't even find a MySpace page or anything.

Even if these albums are the greatest albums ever, it is still pathetic that Nuclear Blast is becoming the new Roadrunner records. Especially with the "deluxe editions" which is very much like roadrunner's chemes to get people to buy albums repeatedly. I wonder how long we have until Universal buys NB/CM too.

Wrong.

Again.

Jesus christ. It is caled an opinion, which, last I checked are subjective. That is what is wrong, not being able to accept that other people have differences of opinion.

I'm starting to see a trend here

_________ is an asshole because he doesn't like __________

or

_________is an idiot because he thinks ____________

I'd hate to see some of you guys in a job related scenario when your boss tells you he has a diffence of opinion.

I will be laughing (and crying) when one of the big corporate record companies buys out NB/CM, which is innevitable considering the size of the company right now. The majors do not like competition and will dangle the biggest carrot they can find in front of its current owners, history shows they will bite.

So if I tell you the sky is green, that's okay? It's an opinion. You have a stinky vagina! Wrong? It's my opinion, bro.

No, that's not what I'm saying. I know Nuclear Blast based on how the company works from the end of a record store, which really is starting to resemble Roadrunner, circa, 2001.The other outlying things people see on the consumer end of things wouldn't reflect that, but I see them because of this big difference.

I disagree with you too, Ad. If Nuclear Blast are selling out, why wasn't this album pushed more? You're looking at a European situation from American eyes, just because Roadrunner did whatever Roadrunner did doesn't mean Nuclear Blast are going to start signing popular metalcore and melodeath bands.

Um...

There is a huge difference between Roadrunner and other labels. First off, Roadrunner reissues albums almost immediately! Most other labels reissue albums that have been out for a long time. Moreover, the bonus material is far better. Take a look at Century Media's reissue of The Gathering's Mandylion; that bonus material was 95% exclusive and unreleased prior. You can't beat that. And that album originally came out in like 1995, not in January of 2007.

Also, these reissues, while annoying, are a product of our own indulgences. Face the facts, folks, labels may be evil in your eyes, but they're still businesses and they're losing money. Or at least not making the numbers they used to make. So they find ways to try and counteract that. If you dislike reissues, don't buy them. Or don't buy the initial release and wait for the reissue. (And it's not like most people whining about this even buy the albums at all!)

Nuclear Blast has done nothing even remotely close to Roadrunner's shitty practices. The Into The Light and Out Of The Dark albums are like the Roadrunner United album, but regardless of Roadrunner's practices as of late, the Roadrunner United album was a great idea. Its execution wasn't as good, but the idea was solid. And Nuclear Blast just proved—twice!—how a good idea can be made into a great product.

Absolutely, this is correct. I guess it was a bit shortsighted, maybe i'm just pessimistic.
