well...about 4 years ago i had tickets to go see them, bought train tickets to get there (£60) and booked a hotel (bout £60). When they cancelled (because jon had a bad neck, boo - hoo, but he was fine a month later to go tour america, the fucking cunt) i couldn't get the refund for the train and hotel, so lot of money wasted there (thats like $240). He says he gonna come back soon as he can. Turns out he just lied to all his european fans about that (the fans who made the guys career!) because a 20min slot four years later does not count! i piad £30 for the ticket and they played Burning Times, great tune, My own Saviour, a decent track but by no means a classic, and 3 other songs from the glorious jizz stain and framing shite. So the way i see it i paid £150 ($300) to see one good song and one ok track four years fucking late. which would be why i started shouting so much shit at them when they walked off. And then just to kick me while i'm down i had to listen to fucking lamb of god..... complete and utter shite. Fortunatly Dio rescued the gig for most ppl but even the god that is Dio couldn't make up for my favorite band giving a metaphorical two fingers to all their Uk fans

And how is the 20 min slot the band's fault? I think Jon & Ripper would have loved to be headliners and sing for 90 minutes, who wouldn't, but these things are not decided by the bands.

If you don't like their last two albums, you should have seriously consider not going. Bands usually tend to favor their latest albums in their live sets, and there's only so much they can cram into 20 minutes playtime.

They would have disapointed if they would have performed badly, or treated the public badly, or something like that, which is probably not the case. You cannot blame blame them simply because they didn't meet your expectations, since your expectations were pretty much unrealistic to begin with.

If he wanted to do headline gigs he would have just carried on the tour he gave the rest of europe, rather then treating all his uk fans like shit. The last time he played here, had no support and played for 3 hours, and that was back in early 2002!!! nearly 6 years ago!!! He went from that to 20 shitty minutes, please do tell how exactly that constitutes as treating you fans right? making them wait 6 years for 20mins? oh and not to mention the tour he cancelled!

And your saying i shouldn't go see my favorite band just because they're last two albums were poor? Are you being serious :omfg: ?

No, I'm saying you should expect a setlist based heavily on their last albums, especially since these albums are the only ones with their new singer. If that's not a prospect interesting for you, then yes, you're better off home, I suppose.

And did you really expect them to play for 3 hours while they're opening for Dio and Lamb Of God?
20 to 30 minutes is the best you can get in these type of situations.

So I'm saying that you should have known in advance these two things you're complaining about, by simple logic and/or from experience, and make your decision accordingly. And if your decision was to go anyway, then stop bitching. It's not the band's fault you went into their show with completely unrealistic expectations.

yes i'm a fucking retard. I honestly expect all support acts to play without supports acts for and 3 hours  . And no i didn't know bands would play tracks of the latest albums, infact thats probably why most bands name the tours after their latest release. Wow, its all suddenly making sence now, if only i had thought this through....

Point i'm making is why didn't he give the uk the tour he gave the rest of europe? Hardly seems fair on his UK fans to not come here for 6 years then only play for like 20mins and on the other hand tour the rest of europe as a headline act. And yes, it didn't help that we all thought IE were gonna be on second aswell lol. I was expecting bout 40mins, so when he came on first i knew that it wasn't gonna be as good as i hoped.

That said, can you not see how Iced Earth fans here are a bit fucked off by this? he's treating his fans here totally different from the guys in Europe and the States.

I'm pretty sure bands don't pick the tour dates themselves either.

Eh... why didn't he give my country the tour he gave the rest of Europe? Why didn't he give us not even those 20 minutes you're angry about?

Why didn't Judas Priest ever give us one second of a live show? Why didn't Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Emperor, Slayer, Testament, Morbid Angel, Savatage, Dark Tranquillity, Manowar, Queensryche, Immolation, Gorefest, Bolt Thrower, Mayhem, Satyricon, Sodom, Metal Church, Exodus and so many others NEVER EVER give us one minut of their time? Why do I have to drive on Sunday 6 hours to another country to see the Helloween/Gamma Ray show (and then another 6 hours back, basically all night, and go directly to work in the morning)?

You, in UK, are usually in a much better situation than many others as far as shows go, rest assured. Instead of pointless complaints, you'd better appreciate this.

You have to drive 6 hours?? Where do you live and where are you going? I'm not going to a concert if I have to drive more then 2 hours or so. With all the traffic jams in Holland it can be a pain the ass to get somewhere on time.

We'll drive from Bucharest (Romania) to Sofia (Bulgaria). It's around 400 km I think, but there's no highway, and on Romanian and Bulgarian bumpy roads there's no way it'll take less than 6 hours. Depending on how many stops we'll make on the road, it can take even more. But the show will be worth it: I saw the Legacy tour last year and it was definitely the best metal show I've ever seen, so I don't expect any dissapointment, especially since they're coming with an excellent new album; and there's also Gamma Ray as bonus. And the trip in a minivan full of metalheads should be fun, so I think it'll be worthy.

It was awesome. No Axxis though, I was misinformed, but seeing everybody in Helloween and Gamma Ray together on stage for Future World and I Want Out, Weikath and Hansen side by side like in the old days, was worth every eurocent. Also, Gamma Ray did a riping rendition of Ride The Sky, it was like '85 all over again. If you guys can see this tour somewhere, don't miss it.

I also saw the Helloween Gamma Ray package in Budapest on the 16th (only a 3+ hour drive from Romania :) and on good roads) and they RULED. Excellent set list, they only played 3 new songs As long As I fall, The bells of the seven Hells and Paint A new World but they started with Halloween, Andi was in top shape...excellent!They also played gems like We Burn, Soul Survivor and a big medley of some other songs they don't play so much these days. Ahhh and they played March Of Time...smokin'! Gamma Ray also were waaay better than on the other tour I saw them (with Iron Maiden in 2003), but Kai lacks in the vocal department sadly. An excellent show nonetheless.

I also saw Ride The Sky+Epica+Sonata Arctica an the 20th. Great show, with Epica being the BIG surprise. Simone is a joy to watch and hear and the sound of the band was perfect! Sonata Arctica put on an excellent show also, with the new guitar player being more than a match to Jari Liimatainen. Excellent metal week for me :)

Ozzy/Rob Zombie/In This Moment concert is hitting Nova Scotia. Its crazy, we usually get stuff like Nickelback/Hedley/Finger Eleven/Sum 41 and bands like them only for the most part.

Its coming at a shitty time with christmas coming up so I don't have much money to go around, but Im not missing this. Hopefully with this, bands will realize Canada doesn't end with Quebec.

$69.50-84.00 Does that seem like a fair deal to everyone? And who the hell are In This Moment?

Apparently, In This Moment are the worst metalcore band in the history of the world, ever.
