So did I see Scorpions headling Sweden Rock the other night or what? :dio:

To be honest the new songs all sounded very derivative and mostly not very good. Similar to the new Europe, in fact. But Uli Jon Roth came onstage for 5 songs! They played fucking Pictured Life! :dio: :dio: :dio:

For all US fans. I was browsing my Sunday newspaper ads and I found that the new Scorpions :"Humanity Hour 1" is being released this Tuesday August 28th and you can pick it up for $7.99. I'll be there at opening to pick it up. That's damn cheap for a CD that (based upon the video and samples) sounds really great. :dio:

GOT IT!!!

Holy shit have they returned to form!! They've included signature Scorpions riffs and pounding drums. Klaus sounds like he hasn't aged one damn bit. This CD sounds incredible. I've only waited about 21 years for a Scorpions CD of this quality but what the hell?? Right??

$7.99 at Best Buy with a killer bonus track, too.

Unfortunately this isn't a "true" Scorpions album. Look at all the songwriting credits (assuming you bought it). Every song is co-written by at least one mainstream songwriter, usually more than one. And no song has more than one Scorps member on the writing credits. So while it's a great album, it's more or less just a Scorpions album by name.

I'm ok with it. If they needed a bit of help to get the Scorps sound back to this then so be it. I'm really enjoying this one. I'll check out the booklet. I haven't looked at it very closely yet. Thanks for the info though.

Yeah. This cd is very good. I have been listening to it alot lately. The co-writers must have had there feelings and moods in mind because it sounds very much in-line with what they would have wrote even if it they did it 100% themselves.
Very impressed with this release!

Very good cd. Favourites are Loving Me To Death, title track and 321.

Absolutely superb cd. A miraculous comeback. I don't give a crap who wrote it - Klaus sounds awesome, every damn song has some kind of melodic hook. Very, very, very good CD.
