uhm... nobody is getting my number, not that i think anybody wants it, ha ha. I rarely use my phone and I prefer silence, anyways. I would rather speak to ppl face to face, anything else doesn't matter to me that much. Besides, with ppl scattered all over the world it quickly becomes rather expensive. It's not exactly cheap to call someone outside your country, and what would you talk about that can't be dealt with on MSN or MR?!

If you want to talk to ppl vocally it probably would be easier just to use Skype or what ever it is called, or MSN .. now that i think of it... can't Skype make a phonecall to a real phone for free?

You might get phone spammed or something. Plus, even if there were no dangers / annoyances of posting your phone number, the long distance charges would be...big for most of us. We can talk to each other here for free!

I got a new phone number in August, and for the past month, have gotten calls EVERY NIGHT from an unknown number. I think it is a landline, so m phone can't trace teh call. Everytime I pick up the phone and say "Hello" they hang up. I don't hear any noise on the other end, nor any breathing. They stay on the phone until a sound is made, then it goes dead. The calls are made anywhere from 7pm-11:30pm. I don't think it's an ex-girlfriend, cause neither of them have this number, nor would they know anyone who does have it. I'm debating whether it could be a machine or not. If it was, it would be a pointless thing to do because no one is trying to sell anything to me.......BUT IT'S SO DAMN ANNOYING.

Contact your phone company about it.

If anyone wants to talky, why not just use something like Skype? It can make calls to mobiles as well, but it's usually somewhat exxy.

Yeah. I use skype sometimes. I don't like cell phones, as I've mentioned in the other thread.

I'd post mine just to talk to a select few of you, but I'm afraid of what Dylan is talking about.

I actually had some guy calling me from Mexico and he would not frikin stop. I ended up saying random things to him in Spanish so he would get the hint, but it went on for about three weeks.

I've had this guy calling me a few weeks back and he keeps asking for 'Anna'. I've told him he's got the wrong number on numerous occasions but he still persisted. I ended up screaming at him one day and he's stopped, thank God!!! Apart from calling me he used to text my phone askin 'If we could do it tonight, for a 100 bucks'. I've checked with my friends if they recognized the number but no one knows it. But alas, the screaming and swearing worked out fine.

A few months ago I had a phone call that freaked me out. It was at 5.45 am and I was sound asleep. I'm not sure whether it was the grogginess of getting up to pick the call or what, but the voice was fuckin creepy!!! All the caller said was "aaeerrrrr" in a very coarse tone, like the bitch from 'The Exorcist". I was wide awake by then and quickly ended the conversation. I think my heart was beating twice or thrice faster than normal. I checked the number on my cell log and it was unknown number. I don't know whether it was a prank but none of my buddies recognized the number. I just left the matter as it is, and touchwood, that was the first and last call that 'who-ever' made.

HAH! i did the death rattle from the grudge on my girlfriend about 4 in the morning... i didn't get laid in a week.

Recently I got several calls from businesses asking for people who were not me. The calls stopped eventually, I think someone got their own phone number wrong.

We get strange phone calls to our home phone, when I say hello all I hear is silence and then they hang up.

Come to think of it, I wouldn't really want to get calls from bands whose albums I gave a low score, even though the conversation would be a very interesting one.
