Damn the melodies are fucking ripped off. What's so hard in getting legal permission? Stupid rappers.

Frankly when I read the article header, this is what ran through my mind "Dimmu Borgir-->Metallica Pt II, sue!! sue!! sue!!". But I think they have every right to sue Bushido.

Yeah, generally I don't agree with the prosecuting band, but seems like a rip off to me.

Wow, both of those "songs" are direct lifts.

I thought it would just be another dumb case, but it's actually pretty convincing.

Yeah ok theyre pretty damn similar, but can anyone "own" a melody?

What if a band went "OMG band x used the same chord progression as me!! Sue!!"?

Im sure that exact same melody has been used in some classical piece somewhere, if not in another metal song somewhere.

Yeah, you've got a point, but these melodies are way too obvius. They're IDENTIC! If you've listened to any of these dimmu songs you'll instantly recognize the melody. They're modulated, but that's the only difference. Stupid rappers.. He uses ONE melodi theme during the whole song, and he doesn't make it himself. He doesn't even get his recording label to make it. No, he steals it from another band. That's just pathetic. This guy has nothing to do in the music business.

Rappers should have nothing to do with the music business, seeing as what they produce is not even music.

Dimmu Borgir 'borrowed' most of their keyboard melodies on their debut from Manowar anyway.

Neither of the songs ripped off was from Dimmu's debut, so whats your point?

A more obvious example is the keyboard track on the original version of Stormblast, which was stolen from a videogame

Neither of these songs appear on the debut, and Stian, the keyboardist who was lifting the shit, hasn't been in the band in years.

Wow. Those were really ripped off... I mean, dammit, can't the moron even change them a little bit so they don't sound identical? How cretinous do you have to be??

I'm surprised German rappers have even heard of Dimmu. Though I hear they are more popular over there.
