Mail and a Newbury Comics run:

Monster Magnet - Powertrip (1-Track Promo CD Single)
Monster Magnet - Powertrip (2CD)
Monster Magnet - Powertrip (CD2 Single)
Monster Magnet - Powertrip (CD3 Single)
Stompbox - The Halloween Day Massacre (7" EP)
Tad Morose - Leaving The Past Behind
The Flower Kings - Back In The World Of Adventures
The Flower Kings - Retropolis

Bought that Powertrip album on eBay for the bonus CD and the singles came extra. Now I have four CD singles for the song "Powertrip." Haha.

Thousands. Like...6,000 or something, give or take. I don't count them very often. Haha.

I can tell you the single Empty Walls is extremely SOAD-y but a little
lighter with crazier vocals. As for the rest I have no clue.
Not a big fan of SOAD or Serj.

Well, because Serj is singing and there are distorted guitars, you're going to find comparisons to SOAD. But honestly, the music has more depth. There's a lot of orchestration and piano, it's just layered with heavier guitars. It's a solid album, there's only one song I don't much care for, "Praise The Lord And Pass The Ammunition." That song is basically what I expected the whole album to be like, weird loops and such, meandering vocals and no hook, just crazy stuff. Luckily it's just one song.

Have you not heard anything from it? Check out this video, it's killer!

Theocracy - Self titled. I bought it from their website, so it should be in soon. At the expense of being "un-metal" to some, I'm going to start adding some Christian power metal albums to my collection (power metal and classic metal seem to be the two metal genres where Christian lyrics can really work). I've heard some good things about Rob Rock, so I think I'll check him out. Any other recommendations (note: I'm looking for bands that can be Christian without being cheesy or pretentious about their lyrics)?

Theocracy is a great choice. I'd also check out...

Divinefire (kind of rhapsodyish but not as cheesy. Check out some of the reviews here)
Rob Rock is another great choice. Get Holy Hell. Man that album is heavy.
Seventh Avenue is a band my brother really likes. I haven't heard much by them though.
Last Tribe (I'm not 100% sure if they are Christian or not, but they write some catchy stuff and their lyrics kind of lead me to believe they are.)
Also check out that band Ultimatum Eyesore posted in the death forum. Good thrash.

What's wrong with Christian metal? I'm not a Christian, but some of my favorite bands are! Who gives a crap. And Theocracy is a great first choice.

My latest:

Hammerfall - Glory To The Brave (w/Bonus Tracks)
Ion Vein - Beyond Tomorrow

Paid $25 for that Ion Vein disc and it comes with a $4.99 sticker on it. :lame:

Another band I would recommend is Vanden Plas. Again I'm not 100% sure if they are Christian, but I know their singer sang for Jesus Christ Super Star and they also did an album (their most recent) based around The Count of Monte Cristo (the book is very focused on Christianity).
