I don't agree with the reviewers comment about early Agent Steel being worse. John Cyriis will remain the better of the two, and as for the song writing now, while it is good, it is not classic like the early Agent Steel releases. Unstoppable Force is probably one of the best heavy metal albums ever recorded.

Unstoppable Force and the Mad Locust Rising ep are my fav. Agent Steel releases. And yes, John Cyriis is waaay better. Yesterday I was wondering how the new album will sound with Cyriis handling the vocal duties.

Whoa, hold on a sec.....where did I mention in the review that early Agent Steel is worse? I never said that. In fact, I love the first two Agent Steel albums. I feel the songwriting is much stronger now because the music is alot more technical, more varied in structure and tempo. That does not necessarily make this album any better than the early releases, just more advanced.

The one thing I think you can agree on is that Cyriis's voice could become annoying at times with the over the top high pitched wails. But I still liked him as far as being a melodic thrash metal vocalist.

My apologies, from what I read in the review it sounded like you were relegating classic Agent Steel to a secondary position. All I'm saying is that the new stuff is good, but there's no way its better. I find way too many modern influences in it, and I'm disappointed to hear that Bruce Hall is using a more gruff vocal style. That is not really the Agent Steel sound. Blazing leads and wailing vocals are their trademark. And that sound was perfectly captured on the Cyriis records. That man was a mad scientist.

I finally listened to this yesterday and it blew my socks off. Been awhile since I listened to something that was so punishing from begining to end. I think I listened to it 3 times in a row last night as I couldn't stop replaying certain songs. I've always liked Agent Steel but never to this extent.

+1

I can't get enough of this. Liberty Lying Bleeding and Hybridized rule supreme.

There are ocasional Halford influences in the vocals, but most of the time it's like an Blitz Ellsworth meets Dickinson combo. Great stuff.

I love the power metal feel to it. It's def more thrash but that little bit of power metal makes it that much better...
