I can't believe there's no thread about Ayreon's upcoming 7th album. I tried to search for Ayreon but got no results so I start one now.

Copied from Ayreon's website
http://www.arjenlucassen.com/ayreon/ay_news.html:

"June. 14, 2007
First vocalist recorded!

The very first vocalist for the seventh Ayreon album was recorded in the Electric Castle Studio last week. We're not revealing the name of the vocalist just yet, but you can listen to a sample of the voice (without instruments) here.

During the time leading up to the official announcement of each of the vocalists participating on the new Ayreon album, we'll be giving acapella previews of every vocalist. Currently 12 vocalists have been confirmed, and a few more will be added."

Any ideas about the 1st mystery singer ? I read somewhere that it might be Magali Luyten (Beautiful Sin / Virus IV) but I can't confirm that.

Update:
Arjen has confirmed that she's indeed Magali Luyten! Awesome voice and performance! :)

Lyrics for the little mp3 piece if anybody's interested:

Carry out your dangerous task, sail uncharted spheres
Live out our dreams, ride the comet!
Journey on the Migrator trail, cross the new frontiers
Pass on our genes, ride the comet!

Migrator!? :omfg: Could this be "Universal Migrator 3: Fate Of The Migrator" ?

And then, there's the 12+ singers, double CD, many guests for solo perforances.... this is going to rule everything!! :dio:
Damn it, waiting is hard...

I hope it's the third Migrator album, although most of Ayreons stuff is very similar, I'm still excited. Oh, and I hope it's not like The Human Equation, it was too much story and not enough music.

A third Migrator album would be interesting, I wonder what the story arc for that would be like? I still need to sit down and give The Human Equation a proper listen to from front to back. I'll find the time.....someday.

I don't remember how the second album ended, but I think the main character became the migrator, which has the ability to create planets or something. Arjen will have to add new characters though, I guess.

owh...

indeed the sound clip sounded cheesy, as you said...!
Maybe it is weird without music, or it's because it sounds too much gospel!

Anyway, i can't wait for another Ayreon! I discovered that project not long ago, and i can't stop listen to that stuff!

Did your sweaty spot tingle?

This album is gonna be killer! And one could argue that The Human Equation was a Universal Migrator album. Remember the ending?

But that was a joke right? the story was far too great to be included in the Universal migrator universe at the last minute.

About the new album, Bob Catley : :dio: :dio: .
