Hey, we have a "Best Of The Big Four" poll. A sister poll like this doesn't seem too out of the question.

I'm going to surprise everyone by voting Anthrax. They sold out way before Metallica did with their hilariously bad rap stuff.

Nah, Metallica sold out rather badly as well. Anthrax are somewhat on a right track again, but Metallica will just go down in flames.

I voted Metallica, b/c again I haven't heard enough Anthrax. That and Metallica like little boys.

Metallica kicked ass on the older stuff. I've always considered Anthrax really overrated.

Actually, none of the big four are really among my favorite thrash bands.

I voted Metallica for turning into the very thing they once claimed to hate. I remeber when they refused to make music videos. Then all of a sudden half of the Black album was music videos.

Scott Ian whoring himself out to VH1 is pretty embarrasing too though.

Anthrax. Metallica's later shit is worse than Anthrax's (though Anthrax's is pretty horrible), but Metallica's earlier stuff generally beats out Anthrax's (Metallica's best, Ride the Lightning, is better than Persistence of Time by a bit), so I'll say Metallica is better,

i'm going to go ahead and say that all of these bands after 1988, and some even earlier, are worthless peices of shit. All have sold out in one way or another, and none are putting out good material anymore.

Slayer would be better if Tom Araya would speak up and not let kerry king and jeff haneman write nu-metal songs.

Anthrax has sucked since they got rid of Neil Turbin.

Megadeth was good until Rust in Peace, but Dave has always been a whiney little bitch more interested in being more commercially successful than Metallica.

Metallica put out one perfect album in Kill Em All, then got worse with every album they put out culminating in the most supremely embarassing metal record of all time: St. Anger, to further their downslide they have put out an even more embarassing movie, in which they show case their whiney rich bitch attitude and general disconnected attitude to the rest of the metal world. Lars Ulrich is particularly disgusting. He is an egotist little man with so many insecurities and so little respect for himself that he takes these insecurities and airs them out to the world so he can make more money, and then attacks people who can't afford to pay the rediculous sums for concert tickets and shitty albums, who download his already worthless music catalog.

Metallica wins as being the worst of the big four. They are not only disgusting human beings, but their musical endeavors are so colossal in their decline as to hearken to Lucifer's fall from heaven. Quite simply put, they are a mockery of both metal, and the music industry in general.

Anthrax, I never liked them all that much.

Probably Anthrax. Overall, their best stuff isn't as good as the other three's best stuff.

Although they all have done stupid shit that makes fans of the good stuff cry, I have to go with slayer.

Between slayer, anthrax, and metalica I am not crazy about any of them. To me what it comes down to is who was consistently shittier. While St. Anger is undoubtably the biggest shit cake any of them have released, (I would rather listen to anthrax play with public enemy than St. Anger) the parade of bad slayer albums over takes all.

That's a fair point. Slayer haven't done anything good in 15 years, while Load and Reload were fairly good for what they were. To be honest, Metallica did the whole "modern rock" thing better than most modern rock bands.

Disagree with KEA being the best Metallica album, you can't call any of the first four shit they are all classic stuff, even if they're not pure thrash or whatever. Although I totally agree about them being bitches, whenever I see Lars' face I want to punch it. Also, am I the only one who thinks Kirk Hammett looks and talks like a complete gay?

has never got into anthrax at all...got some records i never listen to but for me its metallica...i was fucking 13 when st.anger came out, and i instantly hated it, i did'nt recognise the sound at all because the only albums i had heard was killem al, ride the lightning and the black album. and i loved them. damn what a dissapointment
