I dunno if it's the most tacky or dorky, I just think they're lame because they basically write the same song over and over again and their guitarists are praised for their ability when all of the videos I've seen have been sloppy.

People wouldn't be making comments like this if they weren't so big. How are they dorkier than any other power metal band (not including ZP, he is one of the biggest nerds to hold a mic)?

i bet if you replaced dragon with coke and wizard with dealer and battle with sex all of dragonfroce's songs would be about their past lives as drug addicted prostitutes

I understand if people don't like them because of most of their songs sounding the same but that's never been a problem for me with any band. There are tons of bands where one can claim all of their songs sound similar. As far as I'm concerned, as long their music is good I couldn't care less if their songs are similar.

dragonforce are really boring.

Say what you will about DragonForce. I agree with most of what is said, but I still get in a mood for a few of their songs from time to time. Yeah, the guitarists are often sloppy live, but that is likely due to alcohol more than anything else.

As far as this album goes, I think some people here talking crap about the band may not have even listened to it because the songs on their debut were more varied, without all the blast beats and video game guitar sounds. The production sucked, and ZP sounded terrible at times, but one of the songs even had a jazzy break - the kind of thing unheard of in later releases. This one deserves a listen for those who have only heard songs from Sonic Firestorm or Inhuman Rampage and should be remastered.

nah, i really liked inhuman rampage for about a week and then hated it.

Even allowing that they mess around with it in the studio, it's the end product that counts. Ooh, shoot me, I used the word 'product' in relation to metal.

because all their songs are exactly the same, and its not in the death metal way of all the songs sound the same, Dragonforce songs are the same, you know what will happen and when without ever having heard it before.

My thoughts exactly. What's weird is I like all the songs on their own, but as soon as their collected on an album they become annoyingly similar.

I don't care what anyone says, I think Dragonforce are a good band, their 1st and 2nd albums were a blast and the 3rd was a letdown of sorts but still pretty good IMO.

I've always wanted to hear their first album with better production, I just hope they dont fuck around with the songs or anything. So I guess Im excited for it, but nervous about it as well. Either way, if they do fuck it up, I do still have the original.

Their music is entertaining from time to time...I like them. Might be that I'll get this since I don't have the original version.

I have all three of their albums and used to be crazyily into them a while back. I'm not an insane fan like iI used to, but I still think they are really good. Don't think I'm gonna get the remixed version though.

It's the whole "look how fast we can play" thing that really turns me off to them. It's gimmicky.

My theory is that this band sucks so much, that people, out of morbid fascination have to see and listen to them, because they cannot fathom how a band could suck so much. So there it is. People don't like the band, they are just fascinated by them, because of how much they suck.

Can you just respect the fact that some people in the world like them, and enjoy their music?

Or maybe you can just continue to think that people who like DragonForce suck and people who like people who like DragonForce suck just because Herman Li has too long hair.
