ARCH ENEMY are proud to present the artwork for their upcoming, highly anticipated new album “RISE OF THE TYRANT”, which will be unleashed upon the metal world on September 24th, 2007.

http://www.centurymedia.com/us/images/a ... tyrant.jpg

ARCH ENEMY mainman Michael Amott (guitars) comments on the artwork created for the new album by Niklas Sundin / Cabin Fever Media: “This time around I turned to Niklas Sundin to bring the ‘RISE OF THE TYRANT’ imagery to life, and what a splendid job he did! I am always amazed by this man’s imagination and talent, and his seemingly never-ending patience in dealing with me! We worked closely on the project from the beginning and what we ended up with is something somewhat different to what we have done in the past: Less colours, quite clandestine and very sinister! Wonderful! The track ‘RISE OF THE TYRANT’ is musically the most extreme song we recorded and Angela’s lyrics fitted perfectly the mood of the music so we decided this had to be the name of the album. The cover reflects the atmosphere of total megalomania inspired by that song. The booklet artwork is
really lending itself towards intense merchandise and stage production ideas, all of which will be revealed soon. But
for now, stare into the all-seeing eye of the rising tyrant!”

I liked Doomsday Machine, hopefully they won't mess up here. Artwork's a bit crap for my liking, though...

I actually really really like that cover. :O

Their music has been in quite a slump ever since Gossow came into the works. I'm not expecting too much, but I'm still hoping that they can come through with this one.

again, they're really good when they play fast, but lately they've been slowing down too much.

nice artwork though.

So everyone likes the artwork but me. I'll probably be the only one to like the album when it comes out too.

I like the artwork. It looks like something that Bruce Dickinson would have used for his "Tyrrany Of Souls" CD. I'm really looking forward to AE's new CD. :dio:

I'm not a big fan of the artwork but I am excited to hear about the new album. Not since Burning Bridges have they had a truly awesome album but Anthems and Doomsday Machine weren't bad.

This is looking like another political hatred fueled album for the year. Hopefully, the lyrics are more intelligent than United Abominations'.

I hope not. I hate political albums.

The artwork is killer. I only like political albums if they agree with me, though.

that album art doesn't look as if it goes for arch enemy. maybe its because of how digital the last ones looked, but this seems more like thrash or emo-core album cover.

I agree. When I first saw it I thought it had metalcore written all over it. All of their albums have really cool artwork and now they have this computer generated shit.

I rather liked the cover. It's certainly a step up from Doomsday machine, which I thought was pretty formulaic.

They've said it'll sound more like Burning Bridges and Wages of Sin than the two that followed, which should hopefully be good enough for me. Plus, they're working with Fredrik "The Man" Nordstrom again rather than Andy "I used to be the Man" Sneap.

Wages of sin in my opinion is better than the last two releases and Doomsday was better than Anthems.

Agreed, Anthems... is easily their worst release.

I've only heard 'We Will Rise' of Anthems..... and it kicks ass IMO.
