Yes, I dislike myspace and these unofficial pages that exist there, but this time I'll ignore it. Peste Noire's music is just so fucking fabulous. Listen and tell what you like about it.

hmm.. i posted the same link a few months ago, nobody cared back then... still awsome... their previous full-length album, La Sanie des siècles - Panégyrique de la dégénérescence, was awsome with lots of cool guitar solos... also includes the lovely Spleen track among others. The cd has better sound quality, of course, those tracks on myspace are ripped from a tape.

According to reviews their latest album is shit, with no guitar solos or what so ever. A shame, i had expected more now that Niege is back in the back for good after finishing Mortifera.

i meant no offence, he he

Yes, La Sanie de Siecles is a cool album. Nice to hear flamboyant guitar solos in BM. Recommended for those wanting to hear raw but inventive BM.

I fucking love Peste Noire. One of the best bands to come out of France. La Sanie Des Siècles - Panégyrique De La Dégénerescence was the shit. Macabre Transendance was also one of the best demos ever.

I haven't heard Folfuck Folie yet but I've heard the Lorraine rehearsal, which was pretty good too. Why did they ever change the name anyway, Lorraine was pretty good.

Maybe because it is a vinyl only release containing rehearsal stuff?

I thought Lorraine was what FF was supposed to be, like a demo of it, since it contains 4 tracks from it.

But there are only 2000 copies around aren't there? It's not for sale on Amazon or any other big site, so I define that as pretty rare.

Awesome band IMO. Too bad I missed the "Mors Orbis Terrarum" box.

Sounds WAY different from his Alcest material.

Anything black metal sounds different from Alcest now, since it's pure shoegaze.

I like Alcest though. Good mellow stuff.

I think it's ok, but very overrated. Did you see the Metal Archives reviews of it? Pretentiousness ftl.

The one of Souvenirs D'Autre Monde? I probably read it, but the reviews on M-A which tend to stick in my minds are the ones written by angry thrash fans saying it's shit.
