Those look pretty nice, but I find it hard to see- what model is the red one?

I'm pretty sure the black one is a Parker. Parker tends to make weird looking instruments.

This is my baby. It's a Squier Limited Edition P Bass, with a P pickup at the neck and a J pickup at the bridge. Pleases any Iron Maiden fan :D .

Got it for about 200$. Mine is blue.

That's a sweet lookin Squier, Kat. How is it? Squiers are looked down upon here as beginner guitars. I don't blame them. But my friend has a Squier guitar, and it sounds awesome. Sometimes you just need to be lucky when picking a Squier, like my friend and I. We were lucky to get good stuff. How's your's?

Here's me while wasting some time with my Ibanez JS-100. I've been intending to upgrade the humbuckers but I never get around doing it. Oh and there's also mildly funny storry behind this series of pictures (of which you only see this one) but I'll leave it for another time. I was actually complaining to the guy with the camera when this photo was taken :P !!

It's fine, among the low price range and beginner's guitars I think this would be best. Sounds great with a boss distortion pedal and a decent amp. I might consider changing the pickups in the future but I might not because the main reason I bought this is I'll get a Standard Strat when I can get collect enough money, I preferred this so I'd be used to it (the neck and such).

I can't really find a flaw in it because it is a cheap guitar and you can't expect any better. With the right equipment and setup this can sound like a monster and I'm really satisfied with it but of course I'd buy a higher rate guitar today if I had the money.

The red one is a Hamer Californian Quilt Top. I replaced the stock pickups for two DiMarzio's. It sounds incredible. The black one is a Parker NiteFly. That has all the gadgets and the acoustic pickup. The feel of the Parker is the closest I've come to my old Steinberger. The acoustic is just an Epiphone. I wasn't looking for an expensive acoustic but rather just something to play and write on.

I play through a Crate Powerblock head which is sitting on a Peavey Supreme 4x12 cabinet. My effects I run through a Vox Tonelab. The modeling on the Tonelab is virtually endless.

This is an official picture of mine:

I need a new one though. In order for my ability to grow, I'll need to get something of a higher quality. For example, in addition to bass, I also know my way around a keyboard. I have a cheap, dinky little keyboard, but my brother has a real nice keyboard with weighted keys and all that. I'm much more able to express myself on that sort of keyboard instead of my dinky little thing.

I've had Spector basses in mind for awhile now. I played one at a guitar shop once, and it was the sexiest thing I ever played. :dio:

Ugh, i hate those guitars with quilt tops and flashy colors. They look more like candy than a musical instrument.

My guitars ATM are a cheap-ass Takamine acoustic, some oddball 60's Strat-style guitar with weird pickups and a bigsby bridge and a black ESP/LTD M-102 with Seymour Duncans. If i wasn't unemployed, i'd buy a new electric immediately, since both of the ones i own now kinda suck.

...you sure its from the 80's? Fenders/Squires are renound for being really shitty in the 80's. Hence the reason why toki did so well in that period.

Thats so true. My mate got one for bout £100 and it plays like a £1000 strat. but then i know people who have bought what is meant to be the same model and it just plays like a peice of crap. Really strange.

The location they are made makes all the difference. It is supposed to be the same model but if it is made in Japan rather than China, Mexico, or someplace in Southern asia it makes all the difference in the world.

I was with a buddy of mine and we were playing with guitars at Daddy's Junky Music, and they had two Jagmasters. One from China, one from Japan. The model numbers and stuff were exactly the same and they were the same price, but when i played both of them, I couldn't even believe they were the same instrument.

My Squier bass is made in Indonesia. I never knew they made Squier's until I bought it. A friend of mine, who's the Yoda of musical gears, explained that it might be the wood of my bass that contribute's to quality of the sound. I'm not really quite sure about this but I think my friend has a point.

At the moment I've got a crappy Strat copy which goes out of tune after fifteen minutes. I'm saving up for one of these

'Cos they're relatively cheap and very good. I played one last night and realized I wasn't too bad at guitar.
