I thought Idolator was a terrific barrel of fun and I do believe many others around here dug it too right? I'd call them utter Gothenburg generica, but there's just something about their sound that makes them more fun to listen to than other similar bands, probably b/c they're from Japan. New album "Mozaiq" released on July 18th, definitely something to look forward to.

This song seems to be basically more stuff in the vein of Idolator, but with better production, an even more prominent element of techno and emo-sounding clean vocals. I love how they're totally upfront about the vocal part along with their new image, just look at the genre description below the band name.

About this new song by the way...I overall like it, but it does blatantly rip off their own song Hyper Sonic in several places. If you know this band even just somewhat well, you'll know it when you hear it. Also, both songs are the openers of their respective albums. Funny that "Hyper Sonic" used to be the first song on their myspace player window, and the only thing that's changed since then is that the new song is there in place of it, and it's basically the same song I mean.

Wow that was horrible. I liked Idolator too, but wow that new song is... haha... its a joke.

actually i liked the song, very much in the same vein as Hyper Sonic (one of the best songs on the album) as VVI said.

The changes they've made to their sound are purely (minor) sonical ones, songwriting/style-wise I hear pretty much no difference whatsoever... Was it the clean vocals that turned you off?

yes, plus the over used screamo vocals.
