was it not benton?

No, he doesn't do live shows. It's some dude called Anthony or so..

The problem is that he's more of a hardcore singer than a death
metal one. Mainly, he can't growl to save his life, so he does this
screamo thing instead. Decent, but nowhere near as cool as it would
have been to have had a real deathmetal vocalist there. [Jörgen
Sandström anyone? :D]

.:crast:.

no u

(I have misused an intarnets phrase to illustrate a point!)

Flame, Urn, Nocturnal and Desaster last night. All were great, even though Flame still wouldn't play their Master's Hammer cover and i was way too drunk during Desaster.

Just came back from a Lacuna Coil show with Within Temptation.
the opening acts, Stolen Babies and In This Moment were both great.

A really great night of music with bands who all are fronted by women!

In this Moment was the band that surprised me the most. Although somewhat metalcore at times, they inject lots of metal and they can be quite harsh and melodic, but the cherry on the sundae is their female singer. She sings clean and also growls (very well too) which adds another spin to the formula.

Blind fucking Guardian. Everything was extraordinary. Andre rules supreme. Nightfall, Welcome To Dying and Ashes To Ashes (which I never expected them to play) were out of this world. Amazing.

Also, I caught a drum stick :dio:

They are, but in all fairness, Hansi doesn't seem to be able to keep up anymore.

Enochian Crescent and Venom last night. I spent EC:s set drinking beer outside the venue. Venom was killer, as always. The only bad thing is that they didn't play In Nomine Satanas.

You suck. Those fuckers never want to come over here and play, and they cancelled their US leg of the Metal Black tour.

I was waiting so patiently for Canadian dates, then the next thing I know there is not even American dates anymore. I was very upset.

Saw Porcupine Tree last night, really wicked show. Their sound is really awesome live! I guess the music hall also has something to do with it too ;)

They played the whole Fear of a Blank planet album then in the second half of the show they played various songs from all their previous albums such as blackest eyes, Lightbulb sun, Opencar ect..

Definitely worth my 30$

Behemoth!

A fist in the face of all other death metal bands I ever saw. The show was fantastic, the playlist was exquisite. No other band has ever impressed me like that in a live show. You need to see these guys. You need it badly.

Yes! Behemoth led to some serious ovary explosions when I saw them last year. Amazingly tight live, and they got an AMAZING sound out of the crappy venue they played at. I'd kill to see them again soon.

Last two bands I saw were Decapitated and Nile. There were more people at the venue for Decapitated than Nile - which is totally shit if you ask me. Decapitated are for mindless mosh and Nile are for basking in the total fucking awesome. The new Nile songs give me a metaphoric boner, or seven.

I too prefer Decapitated to Nile.

In your face!
