Avoid Slagry. It was basically just a fuck off to Osmose, with whom the band was having some troubles with at the time.

I've heard that story, but some people take Slagry rather seriously, and hail it as a good avant-garde album.

Heh, i've never come across anyone who liked it. It's a really weird album. Try before you buy.

Metal Church - Masterpiece

I havn't listened yet is it good?

It is, i like everything Metal Church has ever done, it may not be their greatest but its still good, what other Metal Church albums have you heard?

I'm actually quite the Metal Church noob. I own The Human Factor, Masterpiece (obviously), and the newest one. I have heard other ones but I can't remember which ones exactly. All I know is I like them. And Masterpiece is good, I enjoyed it.

Dude you definitely need to to hear their first three albums, theyre some of the best metal ive ever heard.

My Master's Hammer double CD arrived yesterday. Ritual is one of my all-time fave BM albums and it's nice to finally own it as a CD instead of a crappy CD-R. I recalled that The Jilemnice Occultist was a pretty strange album from previous listens, but i didn't remember it was this crazy! Unorthodox riffs, occasional drunken-sounding operatic vocals and cheesier keyboards than Sigh! Mental.

The reissue is a great buy for those who don't own these already. Osmose could have included English translations of the lyrics, though.

Hate Forest is one of the very few metal bands in existence that can make a drum machine sound good. One of my faves from the East-European NSBM scene.

Leviathan-The 10th Sub-Level Of Suicide

So far I'm prefering it to Tentacles of Whorror, as it doesn't start to run out of steam halfway through, which makes it less of an exhausting listen.

I don't know about that record, but Battlefields had a (very obvious) drum machine.

How does it compare with their other albums? I have been on the fence about buying it.
