Less metalcore and more Opeth influence than their last album. The guitarist that joined them from Aletheian also adds some kickass solos (the solos on the last one were pretty cool but these ones are even better) My only complaint is that the bass is totally hidden in the production, which is part of what made Terminate Damnation so fking heavy and addictive.

Anyone else heard it?

I own both albums. I love the progressive sound on Physics of Fire.
All of the songs are a lot smoother. A lot of the songs on Terminate Damnation felt like they were really three songs pasted together to make one.(Elegy really is three parts of one.) I get this feeling of completeness when I'm listening to PoF. My only complaint is that PoF is not as aggressive as TD. You are correct about the heavyness. I just wish that the album and some of the songs were longer. Great album. 92/100.

???Progressive Death Metal album of the year???

Yeah that kind of disappointed me too.

As far as progressive death metal I haven't head much this year but this one's probably the best lol.

This band is actually pretty f*ing good! I didn't like the vocals at first, but they grew on me. This is definitely more metal than core, if you know what I'm saying.
