Information about the upcoming album, Systematic Chaos...pretty sweet album cover, I must say. I guess they're also releasing a special edition that includes a 90 minute documentary about the making of the CD.

Here's the tracklist:

1. In The Presence of Enemies Pt.1 (9:00)
2. Forsaken (5:36)
3. Constant Motion (6:55)
4. The Dark Eternal Night (8:51)
5. Repentance (10:43)
6. Prophets Of War (6:01)
7. The Ministry of Lost Souls (14:57)
8. In The Presence of Enemies Pt.2 (16:38)

That's a lot of music, even for Dream Theater...I think it looks like this'll be better than Octavarium was.

Obviously it'll be a lot proggier. Dunno how many 10:00+ "These Walls"s they can write, but hopefully it's not many at all.

And hopefully the fact that they're signed to fucking RoadRunner won't hinder the quality that I'm hoping from this album.

I saw that torrent for the instrumental version. I wonder how that got leaked.

Anyone know when this is released ?

a Dream Theater and a Porcupine Tree release the same year.
It'll definitely be a good year for progressive rock/metal.

Yeah, I heard that version as well. It's fucking wicked, even without vocals.

Yeah if you liked their last two albums then you'll like it. I don't like slow, sad music so the only song I really liked was Anesthetize

The thing about DT is that it's so damn hard to get into these guys.Their so complex it's hard to comprehend and envelope their music.

I think you need to listen to more technical music man.

+1

Dream Theater are extremely easy to get into and listen to, in my opinion. They have so much melody.

Yeah, my problem with them exactly, they are technically and musically amazing but I just don't dig their standard timbres and "band" sound...

The thing I don't like about dream theater is that everything they do, even in other projects, sounds fruity as hell.

Just downloaded "Constant Motion." It's awesome. Very heavy and proggy. Who is the other dude singing the heavy stuff?
