Blut Aus Nord - Thematic Emanation Of Archetypal Multiplicity
Deathspell Omega - Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice

Taake - Over Bjorgvin Graater Himmerik

so, I like most of the Deathspell Omega album... like 80%... Taake Nattestid is okay but a bit too raw... then the other Taake is just soooo good ! and finally, Ulver is too raw for me too....

as for Arcturus (avant garde metal ?) & Blut Aus Nord (industrial drone rock) it's not BM but I like it

today, I will listen to :
Aura Noir - The Merciless
Azrael - Into The Shadows Act I - Denial
Immortal - Sons of Northern Darkness
Mayhem - Chimera

any thoughts on these albums ?

SoND slays!! Not very true BM though....

Now Playing: Demonoid - Riders of the Apocalypse :!:
Aaaaaargh my neck is fucking destroyed after listening to the first half  This is the best death metal album I've heard in a very long time!

Yeah, but then, as my signature says...

before starting a BM evening..
NP
Goatsnake - Trampled Under Hoof
next
Pelican - EP 2001

and tonight.... BM !

and, by the way, Demonoid is a good band and Riders of The Apocalypse a good album... I like how they mix death with thrash and classic heavy... :)

Arcturus turned from black on La Masquerade Infernale, but what they started to play is simply amazing. I never felt sorry that they, Ulver, Covenant or Samael changed... There are hordes of bands who play BM, so I'll never run out of my new BM dose, but I'll gladly listen to such bands who aren't afraid to experiment with their music (of course if those experiments are successful).

I haven't heard Thematic Emanation Of Archetypal Multiplicity, but on The Work Which Transforms God they still played black... Strange black, but black...

Ulver - Nattens Madrigal is raw indeed, but the melodies and the atmosphere are very, very, very good.
Keep trying (if you wish); once you get used to it, you will see what I mean.
Hails , TIE!

Taake/Amok - Split 10"

I was bit dissapointed on Taake's side. It was great, but I already have all those songs on Hellnorsk Svartmetal with better sound. Amok sounds interesting, have to listen some more before I make an opinion about this one.

up next:
Falkenbach - Ok Nefna Tysvar Ty LP
Nachtmystium - Reign of the Malicious pic.LP

These threads are kind of dumb. Who cares what you're currently listening to....in 30 minutes I'll be listneing to something different, then i'll ahve to come back to this thread and post again......pointless..so very pointless, but I guess I 'll go along with it.

Currently listneing to - My urine hit the toilet seat, cuz i was too lazy to put the seat up.

Ok fair enough, but the thread is so long that its in danger of being....too much work for people. unless you check the thread every time then you'll end up like me......reading it once, not knowing what the fuck is going on...and posting something silly.

in some ways, but, you being the master of thrash you wouldn't need to read the posts, because you have already heard of most the bands..

Nachtmystium - Reign of the Malicious

quite different when comparing to current material by them, still great though.
