Yeah, and Helloween also has a humourous as well as sort of an intellectual edge in their music. You get the feel they've really done some serious thinking sometimes. This raises the standard a lot for me, bands like Freedom Call for example are pretty happy but i am mostly left unmoved by their positivity. Helloween otoh reaches deeper levels in me.

i don't mind messages, when they are phillosophical or political in general. However, if their belief is retarded and a mere reflection of own weakness - uneducated, low selfesteem, ignorant and unintelligent, i try to avoid the crap, especielly if they want to be taking seriously. in other words, i don't dig music written by wingnuts, weither representing the leftwing or the rightwing - i find them both, equally retarded.

... i have no problem with ppl singing about race, pride and culture as such. However, most of the bands out there who do so are retarded and don't know what they are talking about, nor do their arguments, if they even have an argument, has anything to do with reality. However there are exceptions.. Swedish Sigrblot is rather different from most bands, being a somewhat leftorientated band singing about pride, bloodline, races, european culture mixed with phillosophy. Not that i agree with them, but they're still smarter than 99% of all the so-called political bm bands out there who only wants to look as cool and evil as possible.
