Negura Bunget 2 days ago. Pretty good, even though the venue was shit. They mainly played Om material (Tesarul De Lumini was unbelievable), but some older stuff as well. Too bad they didn't come for encore, they have a new girl playing live keyboards and she didn't know more songs, said Huppogramos :D

Just came home from an In Flames show, they were brilliant as always :dio:
Say what you will about their recent material, they still got it live.

I enjoyed the gig in Glasgow plenty. Got a really cool Morbid Tales t-shirt afterwards too. I didn't think too much of the 7 minutes of Watain that I caught (untr00 Swedes!), and Legion of the Damned were pretty bleh, but I really enjoyed the Frost and Kreator. Just wish they could have played longer and Kreator had played more of their thrashy stuff.

How fucking funny is Martin Ain?

Kreator was sort of meh in Helsinki. My expectations were way high though, as it was the first time i saw Kreator. Watain were good. Celtic Frost pwned all.

Thats too bad. Both times I've seen Kreator they've been amazing; bad luck, I guess.

I just saw 1349 , nachtmystium , Averse Seifra, Zircon , Aura of Aquila, and cold northern vengeance

The locals: Cold Northern Vengeance was alright, pretty arogant in what they were sayin between songs especialy when considering they sound very much like a darkthrone clone, but eh. AoA was awesome, they played some new, very folky black metal. Their vocals are the highlight for me, along with some very melodic guitar parts. Zircon, some good death black. Not Very outstandign in any category but overall they were tight and ripped through a nice set.

Averse Seifa was pretty good, didnt get to see much of them because i was busy with some other matters. Nachtmystium was incredible. They played mostly older stuff, basicaly everything on Self titled including their Judas Iscariot Cover. They were the highlight of the show from my stand point.
1349 was good for the first few songs, but then it all just started blending together. The only thing that stood out about them was when they woudl fall out of beat with eachother than go choppy to get back in sync. Not really a bad set but totaly underwhelming and far below my expectations.

Yeah 1349 were boring live, and all you could hear were drums and vocals.

What the heck, my last two posts have been about 1349.

Rotting Christ last night. Good energy from the band, but the sound was pretty shitty. I could barely hear the guitars, the drums were covering everything. I was a bit dissapointed that they didn't play anything from Sleep Of The Angels and Khronos, but it was a nice surprise to hear them play Archon, The Sign Of Evil Existence and especially Non Serviam.

I also saw Suicidal Angels opening, pretty good thrash, also from Greece.

Unexpect. Absolutely mind-blowing. Extreme Metal on LSD.

Finntroll and Amon Amarth

Finntroll were great! The new vocalist aquitted himself very well despite being a skinny little girl. :) I could have done with a few more Jaktens Tid songs but ah well.

Amon Amarth were exactly like they are on record - one song repeated for an extended period of time but still good.

No, he doesn't do live shows. It's some dude called Anthony or so..

The problem is that he's more of a hardcore singer than a death
metal one. Mainly, he can't growl to save his life, so he does this
screamo thing instead. Decent, but nowhere near as cool as it would
have been to have had a real deathmetal vocalist there. [Jörgen
Sandström anyone? :D]

.:crast:.
