"In Lingua Mortua is a project Lars Fredrik Frøislie started back in 1999. The music was inspired by a wide range of music everything from Norwegian black metal of the 90s to prog rock of the 70s,
to jazz of the 50s, to country, to folk, to classical music,
to electronica/trip-hop to film music (film noir and horror in particular).
The first album (which is to be released shortly), "Bellowing Sea - Racked by Tempest" is lyrically a mix of Van der Graaf Generators "A Plague of Lighthouse keepers" from their 1971 album Pawn hearts, Dante's "Inferno" and Homer's "Odyssey", and was created in 1999/2000 and recordings began in the summer 2000."

It hasn't been released yet, but the tracks on their myspace sound great and he's planning a second one for late 2007/2008 already :)

Awe And Terror sounds just like Dimmu's Mourning Palace (or was it Sellbound By The Devil), either way, it's exactly the same. Fairly nice list of influences btw. They got Shining, Magma, Amon Tobin and Morte Macabre in their friend list :D Anyways, nice list and ideas, but it still sounds like symphonic bm to me, however good.

There's actually a really humorous message at the bottom of Vinterriket's official site that this made me think of.

http://www.vinterriket.com/

I think I'd be pretty pissed too if someone did something like that for a band I was in without permission.
