What a bunch of predictable turds! How in the hell is this any worse than the original, which many of you declared to be good? Oh, right, that chick singer from that band that mallcore emo fags listen to is on this track. :rolleyes:

As I said in my original post in this thread, while I don't mind the original, I don't think its that good of a song. In this version, I find Mustaine's voice to be worse and the female vocals unnecessary. The changes in guitar production and riffage also aren't good. Therefore, I find that this new version sucks more and is completely unnecessary, especially as a single for the new album.

Can you please enter a debate at some point without making shitloads of assumptions about people who don't agree with you? Its really fucking annoying.

Actually I like it... it's a cool song and it's also a power ballad so having some melodramatic male/female multitracking can only bring benefits.

I didn't really like the original, and I don't really like this one either. No surprise there. Hard to really say much more than that though as the original has the whole Youthanasia album to fit into (context, tones, etc.). This one just sorta sits there, and doesn't really give you anything else to work with even if you might have been "iffy"...

So I think if you don't almost immediately and emphatically like it more than the original, it'll be hard to not like it significantly less because it seems so out of place and like an alienation or something (can't really think of a good word for what I mean). But I suppose it's pretty much the same challenge for all remakes.
