OK, I've heard tracks from the new one and older releases, and so far liked everything. Which album's the best one to start with?

To be honest everything from Kamelot is quality music. Personally, I'm partial to "The Fourth Legacy" and "The Black Halo". I'm glad you like them so much. Kamelot are reaching the zenith of this genre. :dio:

I've said it before and I'm gonna say it again, one more masterpiece and they'll reach five masterpieces in a row (albums in the 90's score), which to me is a thing only Maiden has done (beast-7thson).

My personal favourite is Epica, although my favourite song would have to be Karma. Catchiest chorus ever :dio:

I had to go and give Karma a listen due to you mentioning it. I don't know how I could forget how great this song is. I'm listening to it now as I type. WOW...could Kamelot be any better?? I don't think so. :dio:

I like Epica and The Black Halo a lot. Roy's accent is too strong on earlier albums for me to really like them.

O_____o

I detect no accent on the first 3 albums with Roy. He sounds more or less the same. The production on Siege Perilous is a big sack of shit, though.

Kamelot Rules!! Can't wait to see them live in Zoetermeer, just 8 more days.....

IMO Karma is their best album, the titelsong rocks and I love the Elizabeth Trilogy. Amazing album :dio:

The Black Halo is a great album, one of the best of 2005 that's for sure. Haven't had a chance to further explore their catalogue yet, except the recent live-album. It is on my to-do list though.

Hmm, after further research I'm not really sure.

'Karma' is my favorite Kamelot CD, but I really love them all. I even like their first few, before Khan joined.
Along with Nightwish, they're surely my favorite band(s). :D

No wonder, I believe Mathias Noren made the cover.

By the way, I just saw this in the article:

"SPV Records will release a strictly limited single CD (cover) of "Ghost Opera" to be handed out to fans attending the European tour in March, April and May 2007"

I'll keep my eyes open next week :D

I got The Fourth Legacy and i rather like it, except for a song or two. I also have The Black Halo in mp3 but i wasn't as impressed with that one, but admittadely i've not listened to it as a whole that many times. I guess i should get Epica or Karma next huh?

The Black Halo is a darker album, and I had to give it more listens to really appreciate it. At first, I was a little disappointed, but after some time I really got it right, and it is just as brilliant as their former records. Favourit tunes are Moonlight and Serenade.
